We wish to notify the general public that the University of Benin (UNIBEN) JUPEB Admission Form for 2025/2026 Academic Session is out.

The University, In collaboration with the JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMINARY EXAMINATIONS BOARD (JUPEB), the University of Benin invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Foundation Programmes for the 2025/2026 Session.

The Programme leads to the award of the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Certificate which enables candidates to gain Direct Entry Admission into 200 level of the degrees offered by the University of Benin and other JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria and universities abroad. The JUPEB Certificate is equivalent to the Advance Level GCE or the Old Higher School Certificate (HSC) or IJMB.

Admission Requirements

Candidates seeking admission into the JUPEB Foundation Programmes must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in at least five

(5) subjects at O’ Level, including English language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in the GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB)

All the combinations are shown in the table meet the entry requirements for direct admission into Degree Programmes in the University of Benin and other JUPEB affiliate Universities which include, OAU, UNILAG, UNN, UYO, FUTA, FUNAAB, UNIPORT etc.

Duration of Programme

The duration of the study is a minimum of one Academic Session of TWO SEMESTERS. It is a strictly non-residential programme.

Method Of Application

Interested candidates are to purchase application forms online from the university website www.uniben.edu with valid VERVE VISA OR MASTERCARD ATM BANK CARD from any commercial bank in Nigeria for the non-refundable application fee of Twenty five thousand naira (N25,000.00) The fee excludes bank charges.

The application form must be correctly filled with all information required before submitting online and thereafter printed out.

• Click on REGISTER FOR APPLICATION and fill out application after reading instructions on the page
• Upload a recent coloured passport size photograph (scanned, not more than 3 months old passport) with a red background. Webcam photograph is not acceptable.
• Submit the online application form and print out a copy of the examination schedule slip which should have your username and password.

• All candidates are required to use valid e-mail addresses and telephone numbers.
• Mode of Study would be Face to face contact at the JUPEB Study Centre, University of Benin,. Lectures will be conducted from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

HOW DOES JUPEB WORK?

Prospective Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board candidates must choose any THREE (3) A/L Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board Subject Combination plus General studies (English Language) identified with their preferred course of study in the university, which can be Science, Art, or Social Science.

Candidates would then be lectured for the allotted time at their respective Study Centre before sitting for the final examination. After completing the program, successful candidates use their Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board certificate to gain admission to any Nigerian tertiary institution at the 200 level via JAMB.

Duration of the JUPEB Program
JUPEB A’level programs are limited to one academic session (9-10 months) divided into two (2) semesters.

JUPEB certificates are now recognized and accepted in over 70% of Nigeria’s federal, state, and private universities. What are the JUPEB School Fees?

JUPEB School Fees: JUPEB program school fees vary from center to center and from university to university, as do private JUPEB centers. With this breakdown, we will give you the average JUPEB school fees. Once you have completed and submitted the JUPEB Form, you will be able to view the original fees for your desired JUPEB center.

• Application/JUPEB Form = N25,000
• The hostel fee is N40,000 (optional).
• The total of the school fees and the examination fee is N170,000.
• The textbooks and other laboratory materials cost N15,000 in total.
• The JUPEB school fees plus the application fee total N255,000.

JUPEB Fees Based on JUPEB Study State

JUPEB school fees vary depending on the study state, but be assured that they range between N255,000 and N290,000. The following are JUPEB School Fees based on available study centers:

1. 1. Ilorin JUPEB Centre: N240,000; includes housing and textbooks.
   2. Lagos JUPEB Centre: N280,000 (includes textbooks but not lodging).
   3. JUPEB Centre in Portharcout: N270,000 (includes textbooks but excludes housing).
   4. Ibadan JUPEB Centre: N240,000 (includes housing and textbooks).
   5. Delta JUPEB Centre: N250,000; Textbooks Included Accommodation is included.
   6. JUPEB Centre in Abuja: N270,000 (excluding accommodation and textbooks).
   7. Anambra JUPEB Centre: N290,000 (includes housing and textbooks).
   8. Ogun JUPEB Centre: N240,000 (includes housing and textbooks).
