NYSC Redeployment Letter Format- Get Sample For Free!!!

Posted on May 22, 2025 By CampusTimesNG 81 Comments on NYSC Redeployment Letter Format- Get Sample For Free!!!

Are you planning to redeploy from the State you are posted to as a Corp member? You need an NYSC redeployment Letter to complete your redeployment request. Campus Times Nigeria will provide you with two samples of the NYSC redeployment application letter.

There are up to four possibilities or reasons for wanting to redeploy from the State you are posted to for service. It could be on the basis of Marital, Medical/Health, and Security reasons,

Depending on the reasons for redeployment, ensure your reasons are genuine and you have all your backing documents ready before you submit your redeployment letter to the appropriate authority.

You will be required to present the following items which includes:

  1. A formal Application Letter directed to the DG NYSC (Samples available below)
  2. Questionnaire stating reasons for relocation
  3. Evidence to prove reasons for redeployment/ relocation such as; Marriage or Health Certificate etc
NYSC redeployment Letter

Marital Grounds

If you are redeploying on the basis of Marital grounds, you will be expected to provide the following documents:-

  • A formal letter directed to the NYSC Director-General
  • Your Marriage certificate
  • A change of name published in one or two of the national dailies/newspapers
  • A formal letter from the husband stating his state of residence.

Health/Medical Reasons

On the other hand, if your redeployment is on the basis of health/medical grounds, you are to provide the following documents:-

  • A medical report from an authentic hospital (National or Government hospital preferably)
  • The medical reports must State the actual medical conditions.

Security Reasons

Also, if you are redeploying on Security Reasons because of Boko Haram Insurgency, NYSC has made proper provision for Corp Members who want to serve outside states that are considered volatile/ War Zone among Nigerian states. Such states Includes; Borno, Adamawa, Zamfara, Niger, Yobe, Gombe, Plateau and other northern states on the volatile level. There is ONLY one format required by NYSC for this purpose:-

  • Request and Fill a Relocation Form, and attach the required Documents to it. At the Orientation Camp, request for the form few days after Registration is over. Failure to do so means you lose chances of being relocated in your Batch.

NYSC Director General’s Directive

You can be offered your NYSC redeployment letter without passing through the other three options above if you can officially get the attention of the NYSC DG to look through your personal reasons.

It depends on where you intend to relocate to. If you want to relocate to another PPA within the same state, you should rather find one yourself for it to be fast enough. When you find one, ask them to write a Request Letter to be taken to the LG Officer or Zonal Inspector.

Hi Jacinta, see a doctor for a test and ask for a medical report to be addressed to your NYSC state coordinator. Attach that report to your letter requesting a relocation.

Good morning sir. I’m among batch A 2 2023. I applied on in camp relocation but now I am married and I want to relocate to where my husband based. Will I still wait for 3months before applying for it or should I apply now and be waiting for the 3months to complete. Thanks.

Please I need your help with redeployment, I just finished the Nysc orientation camp last week Thursday because of the Biafra lockdown that is going on at South East. I don’t know that this will happen in that place I would’ve done relocation from the onset and my PPA is in Abia state
So please how can I get redeployed from that place because of the Biafra lockdown my parents are really scared because of this insecurity over there

You should apply for a relocation on insecurity grounds. Give all strong evidence to do so.

You need to wait until 3 months from the date of your Relocation approval.

If you are applying 3 months after first relocation, you can write a relocation request letter addressed to your State Coordinator’s office. Please submit in person.

You should apply on health grounds since you are not married. It may be granted depending on how delicate your health status is. Ensure you get a doctor ‘s report from a government hospital to support your health claims.
