About One Young World Art Fellowship:
Art is not passive, stationary, or just two-dimensional creativity. It is a universal vehicle to convey unbridled expression, empathy, and social change. As it always has, the world of today needs great art and great artists to expand our consciousness and propel the conversation around the complex web of issues we face, such as; the social, political, and ecological issues.
One Young World Art Fellowship is a scholarship that seeks the next generation of artists walking in the footsteps of Mapplethorpe, Banksy, and Ono, who utilize their art as a generator for social progress.

The Scholarship will cover any visual arts which include art forms such as painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, filmmaking, photography, video, design, printmaking, crafts, and architecture.
What The Scholarship Will Provide
One Young World will offer this Art Fellowship to 1 visual artist who is using their craft to foster positive impact.
The opportunity will provide fully-funded sponsorship to participate in the OYW 2024 Summit and be part of the 1-month long residency programme in France.
The selected candidate will be required to design and deliver a new piece of work during the residency which will be located at Ch?teau de la Bourlie, 24480 Urval, France.
A panel of well-revered judges will review applications and then select the final candidate. However, there are other Fully-funded UK Scholarships you can benefit from.

Requirement For Applicants:
We are calling all Artist! You just need to apply as fast as possible before the closure and enjoy great benefits. Applicants are expected to:
- Provide their CV and art portfolio
- Have a proven commitment to using art as a vehicle for steering positive impact
- Be between 18 to 35 years old
- Flexibility to commit towards attending the One Young World Summit and the residency immediately after 21 September and 25 Octoberber 2024.

How to join the One Young World Community
1. Secure a One Young World Summit Delegate place.
Delegates are chosen to attend based on their proven leadership and impact in their respective field.
Delegates attend the Summit via a partner organisation, Award, scholarship, or independently.
2. Attend a One Young World Summit.
Participate in four transformative days of speeches, panels, networking and workshops.
Delegates make lasting connections throughout the Summit, celebrating their participation at social events and the unforgettable Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
3. Gain Ambassador status.
Delegates ‘graduate’ from the Summit as One Young World Ambassadors, and return home with the means to make a difference, with access to the global network of 13,700+ young leaders, and with motivation to accelerate existing initiatives or establish new ventures.
Places to attend the annual Summit are highly sought after. In 2019 alone, One Young World received 45,000+ applications for scholarship places, with an acceptance rate lower than 1%.

Where is One Young World 2024?

The Summit is the ultimate place to be inspired, share learnings, and connect. Together we raise the bar for what it is possible to achieve as leaders, individually and collectively. The One Young World Summit 2024 will take place in Montréal, Canada from 18 – 21 September 2024.
Who can attend One Young World?
Delegates who participate in the annual Summit tend to be aged between 18 and 30 years old. 30 is not a hard limit, however, and we absolutely do still welcome Delegates that are older. We are not able to accept applications from those who will be aged under 18 at the time of the Summit.
Can I apply for more than one scholarship?
Yes! You may apply for more than one scholarship but you can only be selected to win one scholarship.
How will I know if I have been selected?
We will send individual emails to all applicants – regardless of whether they have been shortlisted or not – informing them of the outcome. We are not able to respond to individual emails enquiring about the status of individual scholarship applications.
What costs are covered by the scholarship?
Most scholarships cover the costs of:
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2023, taking place from 2-5 October 2023 in Belfast, UK.
- Hotel accommodation on a shared basis for the duration of the Summit.
- Catering which includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the duration of the Summit.
- The cost of travel to and from the Summit location.
