According to the management of the NYSC scheme, The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that online registration for the 2026 NYSC Batch C Stream I mobilisation will open on Monday, 7th September 2026, for eligible Nigerian graduates from universities and mono/polytechnics within Nigeria and abroad.
To this effect, prospective corps members the NYSC online registration portal will be open from Monday, 7 September to Sunday, 13 September 2026.
Eligible graduates are expected to complete registration within this period so that they are not left out of the Batch C mobilisation exercise.

The NYSC Camp orientation for prospective corps members will be open on Wednesday, September 30, and end on Friday, October 2, 2026.

NYSC 2026 Batch C Stream II
The Camp resumption date has been released and registration of prospective corps members will begin on Wednesday, September 30, and end on Friday, October 2. You are advised to adhered to strictly about the camp for security reasons.

Why Would A PPA Reject Me?
A place of Primary Assignment can reject you based on different reasons. However, the common ones are lack of accommodation, lack of space, too many corp members, lack of facilities, no enough money to pay, and so on.
What is the benefit of getting rejected?
It’s true; it may sound negative, but has a lot of benefits. If you are rejected from one PPA, you will have the opportunity of looking out for a more conducive PPA by yourself. And perhaps, one with higher pay. rejecting will give you an open cheque to find a place of your choice.
Can I change PPA after I am already accepted and started working?
Yes, you surely can. Just that it’s not always as easy as when you have not been accepted at all. For you to be changed in this situation, you must be able to present a really genuine and important reason and excuse to NYSC.
Can I be rejected after I am accepted at a PPA?
Yes, you can be rejected. I have seen a principal rejected about 7 Corp Members for asking for their right just four (4) months to the end of the service year. Your boss will write NYSC by himself. It is not your concern. This happens only in rare cases.
Can I change to a new local government entirely?
Yes, you can but it can be very stressful. You may have to report at your present local government after they have given you permission, then you will open a file at the new local government. But, it’s easier said than done.
Do I have any rights at my PPA?
Yes, you do have rights. Your posting letter from NYSC camp stated that you are to be addressed as a staff. so you have all the rights of staff anywhere you are posted as your PPA.
What if my PPA refuses to reject me after staying with them for some time?
Write a “change of PPA letter” to NYSC. If they still do not do anything about it, remain persistent in writing and complaining to them. Before you wrote four (4) letters, they will change your PPA. Persistence is the key.
If I am rejected and don’t want NYSC to give me a PPA, what do I do?
In that case, after getting your rejection letter, go and look for a good place by yourself. Negotiate terms with them and collect an acceptance letter and take it to your local government. They will then continue from there.

If I am being maltreated at my PPA, what can I do?
You can do two things. You can either stand and fight for yourself or report the case to your LI or LGI. If it is critical, you can call the state coordinator into it. But it’s advisable to go through your LI and expect the situation to be fixed immediately.
Can I change my PPA to another State entirely?
No, you can not.
Can I continue working at my PPA after the NYSC service?
Yes, you can. Some places can retain you and make you their staff if you impress them enough. You can write an application letter to your PPA when you are through. You can even discuss it with your boss while serving.
Am I entitled to leave or break at my PPA?
Not really, but can request for sick leave, if you are critically ill. You will have to address a letter for sick leave to your PPA. Similarly, during your CDS, you get one (1) day off in a week from your PPA to do your CDS work.
How can I register for NYSC in 2026?

How much is the online registration fee for NYSC?
While NYSC aims to guard against exploitation, each accredited cyber cafe sets its registration prices based on the business environment. I recommend budgeting between 5,000 to 8,000 naira for the entire process. Please note that this amount includes the payment for the call-up letter made to NYSC during online registration.
Can I enroll for NYSC after clocking 30?
If you turn 30 before graduation, you will be exempted from service. However, you can serve at ANY age as long as you graduated before your 30th birthday.
Can the dates on the NYSC Calendar change?
