Nnamdi Azikiwe University Admission Requirements

To study at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, you must possess the following requirements:

The candidate must be over 16 years of age in the year of admission (Some student swear an affidavit just to increase their ages)
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
The candidate must make at least 180 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening.

UNIZIK Post-UTME / DE, Cut-Off Mark, Eligibility and Registration Procedure.

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has officially commenced its online registration process for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise.

Candidates who scored 160 and above in the UTME, as well as Direct Entry applicants with relevant higher qualifications, are invited to apply.

The registration window opens on Wednesday, 27th May, 2026, and closes on Sunday, 21st June, 2026.

Eligible candidates are required to complete their registration through the official portal, upload necessary results on JAMB CAPS, and pay a non-refundable processing fee of ₦2,000.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who chose Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka or its affiliate institutions as their first choice in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have the required 160 Pass mark are eligible to apply.
Candidates who did not choose NAU as their first choice university but scored the eligible Pass mark of 160 can also apply on the condition that they visit the JAMB CBT Centers for a change of institution.

Direct Entry candidates must be holders of OND/HND/First Degree or A’ level in relevant disciplines and subjects.

Direct Entry candidates must also ensure that their academic transcripts are forwarded to the Registrar, Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and hard copies of their JAMB E-slip, O’level result/s, OND/HND/First Degree or A’level result/s to the office of Deputy Registrar (Admissions) on or before Sunday 21st June, 2026.

Any DE candidate whose transcript is not received before the stipulated period will not be considered for admission.

Registration starts on Wednesday 27th May, 2026 and ends on Sunday 21st June, 2026.
Change of course or Change of institution into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (and its affiliate institutions) ends Sunday 14th June, 2026. Any change done after this date will not be valid.

UNIZIK POST-UTME Details for Registration

As UNIZIK POST-UTME Screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session approaches, it is imperative tonnote that:

Registration timeline has not been fixed.
Change of course or change of institution into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka (and its affiliate institutions) is yet to be fixed. Any change done after this date will not be valid.
Compulsory upload of O’level result/s (and A’level results for DE candidates) on JAMB Caps closure will be fixed.

Start with Creating a UNIZIK application account:
Then validate your JAMB registration number, supply your LGA and UTME subjects combination and click on Submit change.
Next provide an email address, phone number, Date of birth, password and click on update profile.
Validate your account by providing the code sent to your email. Click Verify and Click Proceed to Sign in.
On the sign in page, Login with your JAMB number/email and password.
After a successful login, on the Dashboard, Click O’Level to add O’level results.
Click Buy Form to pay the sum of N2,000 (pay online with debit card or print account details and pay at the bank)
After payment return to the portal and Click on SUBMIT form to submit your application.

You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application.

Notice that you can edit your O’level results while the registration is still ongoing, after which it will be locked for editing in due time.

UNIZIK Post UTME Application Deadline: Sunday, 21st, June.

Candidates who are not eligible for the courses they applied for due to wrong UTME subjects combination are advised to choose from the list of suggested course’s on their eligibility status.
Affected candidates should also go to JAMB CBT centres and change their course/s to reflect their new choices before they can successfully register for Post-UTME.

DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES

Direct Entry candidates must be holders of OND/HND/First Degree or A’ level in relevant disciplines and subjects.

Any DE candidate whose transcript is not received before the stipulated period will not be considered for admission.

O level result/s, OND/HND/First Degree or A’Level result/s to the office of Deputy Registrar (Admissions) on or before Sunday, 21st June).
