The University of Ibadan (UI) is no doubt the oldest university in Nigeria and is located five miles (8 kilometres) from the centre of the major city of Ibadan in Western Nigeria. It is commonly known as UI or Unibadan.
Besides the College of Medicine, there are twelve other faculties: Arts, Agriculture and Forestry, Science, Renewable Natural Resources, Education, Social Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Technology, Law, Pharmacy, Public Health, and Dentistry.
The university has residential and sports facilities for students and staff on campus, as well as separate zoological and botanical gardens. In September 2016, the university of Ibadan became the first Nigerian university to make the top 1000 in Times Higher Education rankings. Before that, it had always made the top 10 African university in Webometrics Rankings.

University of Ibadan Admission Requirements And Application Process
Admission requirements by the University of Ibadan are determined by the particular course of study. Information regarding admission requirement is usually made available in the brochure published by JAMB every year.
In the Science courses of study, the student is required to have 5 O’ Level credits at one sitting or 6 O’ Level credits at 2 sittings.
The first choice of result for admission is the O’ Level result. However, other relevant or equivalent results may be considered if the O’ Level result is deficient.
