How To Study For Long Hours Without Losing Concentration

There are 7 interesting Ways To Study For Long Hours Without Losing Concentration as you read on. These tips has helped me through high school and the university. I am sure It will help you study more effectively for long hours and increasing your daily output.

1. Be Confident In Yourself To Get the Task Done

Always have it at the back of your mind that you can achieve anything or you can successfully pass your exams. If you start reading early with a well defined target prior to the exam period. There are chances that you will fail to learn and memorize things to your true potential.

So it’s important that you tell yourself that you can get the Job done.

2. Take Good Rest

It will be difficult to focus if you have not taken a good rest while preparing for exams. Your performance reduces when you do not rest. But if you have had a good rest, you will study at a high intensity and sharp retentive assimilation while you are preparing for your exams.

So, it’s advisable that you take a good rest intermittently while you study like a marathon.

3. Feed And Eat Well

You need to feed well to maintain your energy level. According to research, it said that the human brain constitutes just 2 per cent of the body weight, it, however, consumes 20 per cent of the daily energy intake. It, therefore, means that you must eat well to sustain your energy level and a sharp memory.

4. Choose A Conducive Environment

Choose an environment that is best conducive for you. It may be in your room, in a classroom or in the library, Just make sure that you are comfortable with a the study atmosphere you create for yourself.

5. Take Regular Breaks

It’s advisable that you take a regular break. It not only relaxes you, but it also restores your waning concentration.
Studies have shown that your concentration level starts dropping after 50-60 minutes or so. Thus you may likely be studying with lesser concentration which amounts to wasting of time.

Therefore, take 10-15 minutes break every 1 hour to restore your focus.

6. Cut Off Distractions

Nothing makes you study for long hours like cutting off distractions. We can not ask you not to use your mobile phones at all, but it will be advisable to control the use of your social media accounts such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram as much as possible because once you lose concentration, it will be equivalent to starting from the scratch and that might be difficult for you.

7. Join A Study Group

Some students find it difficult to study alone and if you are that type, join a study group. Studying in a group not only makes you remember 70% of everything you read, but also makes you read for long hours.
