To study urban and regional planning, you must acquire at least Five SSCE credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Geography, and any two of Physics, Tech Drawing, Economics, Chemistry, Government, Art, Biology, History, IRK/CRK and Social Studies.
However, there is a variation to these requirements in some Nigerian tertiary institutions. In the case of some institutions highlighted below:
i) ABSU does not insist on Geography. It accept O’ level credit pass in Economics, Tech drawing plus the UTME requirements.
(ii) ABU accept five (5) O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Geography and any other two (2) from Technical Drawing, Economics, Fine Arts, Chemistry and Biology.
(iii) BELLS accept five (5) O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language, Geography and any two (2) from Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Technical Drawing.
(iv) BSU accepts five (5) O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, English Language and any three (3) of Physics, Chemistry, Government, Economics, Biology, Art, IS/CRS, History, Social Studies, Technical Drawing and Geography.
(v) CRESCENT accepts two (2) other subjects from Science or the Social Sciences.
(vi) ESUT requires credit passes in Fine Arts and Surveying
(vii) UNIJOS accepts two (2) other O’ level credit passes in Chemistry, Physics, Fine Art, Economics, Biology and Technical Drawing.
