General Admission Requirements Into Federal Colleges Of Education
To study at any Federal Colleges Of Education in Nigeria, you have to possess the following requirements:
- An applicant must possess a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or GCE ?O? Level with passes in 5 subjects including English Language, three of which must be at credit level, but at the same sitting or four credits at two sittings. Two of the credits have to be relevant to the course the applicant wishes to offer. Credits in English and/or Mathematics will be required in some courses.
- Other requirements such as: Grade II Teacher?s Certificate (TCII) with credit or merit in three subjects, two of which must be relevant to the course the applicants wishes to offer Credit/Merit in English Language and/or Mathematics may be a requirement.
- For applicants wanting to offer courses in Vocational and Technical and Technical Education. R.S.A. or City and Guilds Intermediate Certificate with Credit/Merit in a minimum of four subjects, are acceptable qualifications.
- Associateship Certificate in Education awarded by accredited Institution in Nigeria or abroad is also an acceptable qualification.
- All applicants wanting to be considered for admission have to enroll for and write the selection examination organized by an accredited body such as JAMB.
