The University Of Abuja popularly known as UNIABUJA, was established in January 1, 1988. It currently has two campuses, with a student population of about 20,000.

University Of Abuja Courses

The University offers a wide range of programmes from the full-time certificate, diploma and degree programmes to part-time evening and weekend degree programmes, cutting across Ten (10) Faculties, namely: Faculty of Social Science, Sciences, Management Science, Health Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Law, Engineering, Education, Arts, Agriculture and Administration.

University of Abuja Admission Requirements

To study at the University of Abuja you must possess the following requirements:

  • The candidate must be over 16 years of age in the year of admission (Some student swear an affidavit just to increase their ages)
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
  • Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
  • The candidate must make at least 180 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening.
