Required Funds For Germany’s Job Seeker Visa:

This is an important part of the eligibility criteria for getting a Germany Job Seeker visa. Based on the guidelines of the German embassy for job seeker visa, there are three ways in which you can prove you have adequate funds for your job seeker travel to Germany. Below are the explanation of these three ways:

Firstly: Submit proof of Blocked Account in your name. It must at least have a balance of 5118 Euros while you will only be allowed not to withdraw more than 853 euros per month. You can possibly open a bank account in a bank of your country for this reason, for example, UBA Bank in Nigeria.

However as it may be, it is not compulsory you open a bank account in your name in your country but you can use the account of your close relatives such as parents and siblings, etc. You have to open blocked an account after you have reached Germany, and transfer the amount of money from your country bank to the German blocked account you opened. Endeavor to visit the German Federal foreign office website for more information.

Secondly: If you have a friend, sibling or relative living in Germany legally who has sufficient income, that person can support you for the purpose of adequate funds.

Your friend, sibling or relative will have to obtain “Verpflichtungserklärung” a formal obligatory letter from the local immigration department for you. This will be enough proof for adequate means of subsistence.

Thirdly: A minimum of six months’ bank statement of your personal account or that of your siblings or relatives will also be acceptable for proof of adequate funds. You will have to submit the source of income along with your bank statement.

However, if you prefer to submit a bank statement of your relatives such as your parents or brother or sister, you have to submit a family registration certificate along with it.
