The Federal College of Education, Kano is popularly known as fcekano, is a federal college located in Kano State, Northern Nigeria.
Since its establishment in 1962 with about 34 students, the college has trained quality teachers into the Nigerian education sector providing her students with access to standard educational resources and training.
The college is currently affiliated to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and tuition fee is very affordable like most other institutions. School fees is less than or about N 50, 000.
The Federal College of Education, Kano is currently running Pre-NCE, Remedial Certificate, Diploma and NCE Courses. The degree programmes are run in affiliation to A.B.U. Zaria.

To be offered a place in Federal College of Education, Kano candidates must fulfill all conditions or admission requirements to be offered provisional admission into the college.
- Candidate(s) who choose the Federal College of Education, Kano as their first choice of institution in UTME and whose cut off points is 150 and above are qualified to apply. For degree programs, UTME candidates who score at least 180 and above are eligible.
- Direct Entry applicants with a minimum of 8 points, in NCE final exam, are also qualified to apply for degree programs.
- A candidate has to obtain any of WASSSC, NECO or GCE O’Level with at least passes in Five (5) subjects to include English Language, 3 of which have to be at credit level at the same sitting or 4 credits at 2 sittings. Two of the credits have to be relevant to the program the candidates desire to offer.
- A Credits in Mathematics and English may be required or needed in some courses to meet departmental criteria.
- Candidates should also note that all full-time NCE courses will runed for a minimum of three regular years.
- Candidates who are interested in furthering their education can enroll for any of the degree programmes offered by the institution upon completion of their NCE courses.
