Edo State University Post-UTME 2026: Cut off mark, Eligibility and Registration Procedures
This is to inform all prospective candidates who applied to study at Edo State University, Iyamho (ESUI), as their first-choice institution and scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME, as well as candidates who applied for Direct Entry (DE) admission, that registration for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening Exercise has commenced.
Edo State University Iyamho invites applications from qualified candidates for its Post-UTME/DE/Transfer screening scheduled for September 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2026.
Dates:
Tuesday 2nd September 2025 – Medicine and Surgery
Wednesday 3rd September 2025 – Nursing Science
Thursday, 4th September, 2025 – Law
Time: 9am-12noon on each of the days.
Venue: Edo State University Iyamho CBT Centre, KM 7, Auchi – Abuja Express Road, Iyamho-Uzairue, via Auchi, Edo State
The registration Window opened Friday, June 12th and ends Monday August 31st, 2026
Eligibility for Screening & Admission
Candidates must satisfy all of the following requirements:
- Must have egistered and sat for the 2026 UTME, obtained a minimum score of 150, and the University-approved cut-off mark for their chosen programme, with the required O’Level credits as specified in the JAMB Brochure.
- Selected Edo State University, Iyamho, as their first-choice institution on JAMB.
- Candidates applying for Direct Entry (DE) must have registered through JAMB and meet the University’s DE requirements.
- Must be at least 16 years old on or before 30 September 2026.
- Candidates who did not initially choose Edo State University, Iyamho, as their first-choice institution but scored a minimum of 150 and meet the University-approved cut-off mark for their chosen programme may also apply, provided they change their institution of first choice to Edo State University, Iyamho, through the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before applying for the screening exercise. .
- Only candidates who upload their O’Level results to JAMB CAPS on or before 31 August 2026 will be considered for admission.

Application Fees
UTME & Direct Entry: Non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000
Transfer Candidates: Non-refundable transfer application fee of ₦60,000
Payments must be made only via the Remita platform on the University website. Do not pay through individuals or private accounts.
How to Apply: Registration Procedure
- Visit the University’s Admission Portal at edouniversity.edu.ng/admissions/register for UTME/DE Admission and edouniversity.edu.ng/admissions/StartTransferRegistration for Inter-University Transfer Admission.

Select your preferred application category (Undergraduate, Transfer, JUPEB, Postgraduate, etc.) or click “Admissions” and choose the appropriate category.

Click “Admission Requirements/Details” and read the guidelines carefully before proceeding.

Click “Application Forms” and enter your JAMB Registration Number in the prescribed format.

Use your personal email address and phone number throughout the application process.

Complete all required steps and upload all necessary supporting documents.

Re-login using the “Already Applied?” option to monitor your application status at any time.
Note for Institution Change
- Candidates who did not initially choose ESUI but scored at least 150 and meet the cut-off mark must change their first-choice institution to ESUI through JAMB CAPS before beginning the application.
Nature of the Screening Exercise
Physical (On-Campus) Screening:
Applicants for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing, and Law will be required to attend a Post-UTME Screening Test on campus. The date and time will be communicated later.
Screening is based on: Post-UTME Test + verified JAMB score + O’Level results on JAMB CAPS.
Online Screening
All other UTME programmes will be screened online only, based on verified JAMB scores and O’Level results uploaded to JAMB CAPS.
Direct Entry candidates are also screened online except those applying for Medicine & Surgery, Nursing, and Law who must additionally sit the Post-DE Screening Test.
Important Notes
- Ensure the information on your JAMB CAPS profile matches exactly with the Post-UTME Application Portal including JAMB Registration Number, Date of Birth, State of Origin, and other personal details.
- Candidates must provide valid mobile telephone numbers and functional email addresses for future correspondence.
- Candidates awaiting NABTEB, WAEC (May/June), or NECO (June/July) 2026 results may apply, provided results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS by 31 August 2026.
- Only candidates who complete their applications and upload O’Level results to JAMB CAPS on or before the deadline will be considered for admission.
- Any offer of admission must be accepted on JAMB CAPS within two (2) weeks of the offer being made. Failure to accept within this period will result in automatic withdrawal of the offer.
