Candidates waiting for the release of NECO 2025 Registration Form can now buy and register their forms before closure. The registration deadline for the SSCE External Examination is 6th November 2025. Late registration starts on 7th November, and walk-in registration begins on 13th November. Both attract a fee.

This examination is taken by candidates in their finish stage of Secondary School Education. The SSCE comes in two categories; one is for candidates in the third and final year of their Senior Secondary Education and it is called SSCE Internal while the second is SSCE External and is for candidates that are not in the school system, i.e. private candidates.

Opening & Closure Of NECO 2025 Registration Form?

Opening date for NECO 2025 Registration form is out and Registration closes on 3rd June, 2024. However, the form had long been out before the commencement of WAEC 2025 Examination.

Extension of Registration Period for 2025 SSCE

Please be informed that the registration period for the 2025 SSCE has been stated as follows:

The registration closure for the SSCE remains on Tuesday, 3rd June 2025. With no expected extension, it is anticipated all Schools would have completed their registration appropriately.

Date of Examination

2025 SSCE internal examination will commence on 19th June, 2025 and end on 26th July, 2025.

Please be advised to register very early as soon as possible as the form should have close three (3) months after the Registration commenced.

Price Of NECO 2025 Registration Form?

In a statement released on Monday by Peter Amogbonjaye, Press Secretary in the Ministry and made available to our correspondent, the government gave the approved total fee payable for the national examination for 2024 as N28,500 per student with a breakdown to include NECO Fee of N22,250:00; E – registration charges of N6,250. Although, some schools may charge more than that.

Payments can be done in any NECO office near you. Including banks and NIPOST offices nationwide. The registration fee covers:

• A CD on exams ethnics
• Cost for biometric data and capture
• and administrative charges

NECO 2025 Exam Registration Requirements

Before you register these are the prerequisites you MUST KNOW:

1. Be a candidate in a private or public school senior secondary school (SS3 or SS2).
2. Know the subject combinations for the course you intend to study in the University or Polytechnic.
3. Have the registration fees with you.
4. Open a personal email address and know the password (Preferred you use Gmail account).
5. Know your date of birth.
6. Have passports photo with you (they now make use of face capturing), but still make sure you have them.
7. Have a personal phone number.
8. Correct spelling of your names (Surname, First name and Middle name).
9. Know your local government and state of origin.
10. Your residential address.

NECO Registration Timeline:

The registration, which began Monday 18 December, 2023 continues until Monday, 3 June, 2024.

The board will charge late registration fees for registrations between Tuesday, 4 June and Monday, 10 June.

Date of Examination:

The 2024 SSCE internal will commence on 19th June and end on 26 July.

Number Of Subjects To Register For NECO 2025 Examination

A candidate can sit for a minimum number of EIGHT subjects while the maximum is NINE subjects. All Senior Secondary schools in Nigeria will present Candidates for the Internal SSCE.

Today, NECO examination has seventy-six subjects which are grouped into six categories, which includes:

• Compulsory Cross-Cutting Subjects
• Science and Mathematics
• Technology
• Humanities
• Business Studies and
• Trade/Entrepreneurship.

How To Register For NECO 2025 Exam

Since NECO has now migrated from offline to online registration, to register your NECO 2025 Registration Form, candidates are to visit the NECO website at www.mynecoexams.com and complete the registration process.

During the registration process candidates will be required to possess:

• Current passport of the candidate
• Biometric fingerprint will be captured.

NOTICE!

Any candidate without a verified finger print will be restricted from taking part in the NECO examinations.

The examination body will not refund the registration fee after payment. Therefore, candidates are advised to use  reliable cyber cafés as registration errors is detrimental to the candidates.
