AGIP Post Graduate Scholarship

The Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) Postgraduate Scholarship is a highly competitive and fully funded award aimed at Nigerian graduates seeking to pursue a one-year master’s degree locally or overseas in disciplines related to the oil and gas industry and allied fields.

This scholarship is part of NAE’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to develop skilled manpower for the sector.

Local Scholarship: For study at recognized Nigerian universities.

Overseas Scholarship: For study at reputable international universities.

The AGIP Post Graduate Scholarship covers:

Eligibility Criteria

For AGIP postgraduate scholarship eligibility Applicants must:

  • Be Nigerian citizens
  • Hold a minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Nigerian university
  • Have completed the NYSC program
  • Be admitted to a one-year postgraduate program in relevant fields such as: Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Petroleum Economics, or Oil and Gas Law
  • Be 28 years old or younger by end of the test year
  • For overseas applicants, possess a valid international passport with at least one year validity from September of the test year

Application Process and Deadline

  • Applications are submitted exclusively online via the Scholastica platform.
  • The deadline for submission is usually in April or May.
  • Applicants must upload scanned copies of required documents, including a passport photograph, admission letter, first degree certificate, NYSC discharge certificate, valid ID, birth certificate, and compliance declaration form.
  • Multiple applications in the same category lead to disqualification.

The 2025 Agip Post Graduate Scholarship Aptitude Test

Test Format

The AGIP Post Graduate Scholarship selection includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) administered remotely on a date in May, using a proctored online system.

The test consists of:

Numerical Reasoning: Interpretation of graphs, charts, and tables

Verbal Reasoning: Comprehension passages followed by true/false/cannot say questions

Abstract Reasoning: Pattern recognition and logical problem-solving
