The famous King’s College Lagos was established more than a century ago, precisely in 1909. There were 10 pioneer students which include J.C. Vaughan, Isaac Ladipo Oluwole, Frank Macaulay et al.

 

 

King's College Lagos tuition fees

Kings College Main Campus is located at 3, Catholic Mission Street, Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos. The College occupies about 10 Acres of land, with Day and Boarding facilities. The College main building is one long-stretched-L-shaped two-story block, consisting of the following segments: The first segment has the Introductory Technology Workshop, Assembly Hall and the College Clinic on the ground floor. On the first floor is a long stream of hostels, which accommodate the Harmans and Panes Houses. On the top of the Houses is the penthouse of four flats for Housemasters.

The School offers a comprehensive and all-embracing curriculum for academic excellence and total development of its students into responsible Gentlemen. Two Senior School Certificates are awarded after a satisfactory end of the Senior Secondary. The two certificate examinations available to the College are the West African Senior School Certificate (WASSC) awarded by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) awarded by the National Examinations Council (NECO). It has highly qualified and dedicated teachers, with a teacher-student ratio of about 1 to 15.

King’s College Lagos Admission Requirements

Every fresh applicant to King’s College Lagos  State should note the following:

Admission into JSS: Primary school leaving Certificate and for Sss, Junior Secondary School Leaving Certificate. Note: School fee varies depending on the class of a student and the School type (Day/boarding).

King’s College Lagos Tuition Fees Nigeria

King’s College Lagos Tuition Fees include both boarding fees and other miscellaneous:

King’s College school fees are moderate and are expected to be paid termly or sessionally before specified deadlines. Fees may be paid by teller or bank draft issued in favour of King’s International College, Ibadan, at designated Banks.

Each new student pays an acceptance fee of N20,000 and N25,000 for day and boarding respectively. The fees by term for boarding and day students are as listed below:

King’s College School Fees For JS 1-3 And Admission Info

King’s College Lagos is a boys-only school and remains one of the best secondary schools in Nigeria. The school is for boarding and day students. The college falls under Unity schools which are being managed by the Federal Ministry of Education. The tuition fees of King’s College is free, however, there are other expenses that will be incur by any parents that want to send their child to the school.

Admission into King’s College Lagos is not conducted by the school but by the Federal Ministry of Education. So your child will have to write the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) and perform well before he can be offered admission. The NCEE is for all candidates who want to be admitted to any of the Unity schools in Nigeria.

For a candidate to be eligible for admission into King’s College, he must be at least 11 Years of age and maximum of 17 years during the academic session.

Furthermore, the admission into the school is strictly by merit after a candidate has successfully passed NCEE.

          1. The candidate must be between 11 and 17 to be eligible for admission
          2. Must successfully pass the given Common Entrance Examination
          3. Ready to write an Essay on why the decision to apply to KCL
          4. The federal Ministry of Education will shortlist candidates for admission by merit.
