After a good score in JAMB UTME in Nigeria, if you gain admission to study Computer Science and Informatics at the university, you will study Computer Science and Informatics for four years. After meeting the admission requirement to gain admission through direct entry, you will be studying this course for three years.

You must be a science student with a good science background for you to study Computer Science and Informatics in Nigeria Universities, and most importantly, after meeting admission requirements.

What Faculty Will I Find Computer Science Department?

Based on JAMB description, a body responsible for admission into the University or other institutions, Computer Science and Informatics should be under the Faculty/School/College of Science, but maybe under a different faculty in some Nigerian universities. For example, in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Computer Science is in the faculty of Technology.

However, if you have a strong passion for Computer Science & Informatics, take some time to prepare, register, and sit for relevant subjects in NECO/WAEC Examination.
