The Federal Government has lifted the ban on the conduct of Post-UTME examinations/aptitude test usually organized by Tertiary institutions for candidates seeking to gain admission into the schools.
This was made known by the Minister of Education Malam Adamu Adamu in Abuja. According to him, Universities, Polytechnics and other Institutions are now free to conduct Post-UTME examinations or aptitude tests as a requirements for securing admission into schools.
He further mentioned that, the Federal Government last year scrapped Post-UTME which was controversial at the time to fully understand what was going on in Institutions.
He added that the Federal Government is now wiser concerning the conduct of the examination.
He however called on institutions to ensure that the Post JAMB/aptitude test fees are affordable in order not to impose huge financial burdens on parents.
The minister said ” We are going to allow universities to have some choice. Univerities can now decide to organise post-UTME, if they want”
