Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo was founded on 5 October 1977 as Federal Advanced Teacher’s training institute. According to UNDP/UNESCO reports of 1996, the school has one of the best qualified staffs in special education, not only in Nigeria but also in the whole of Africa.

FCEOYO also has the largest number of handicapped students that could be found in any educational institution in Nigeria and the largest concentration of specialized facilities for training and teaching of the Handicapped in Nigeria.

The college currently has about Seven specialized, as well as general schools offering various courses i.e School of Arts & Social Sciences, Languages, Sciences Programs, Vocational & Technical Education, General Education, School of Early Childhood Care, Primary and Adult & Non Formal Education and School of Special Education.

Federal College Of Education Oyo Cut Off Marks & Admission Requirements

Applicants desiring to gain admission into this college of education must, however, meet all criteria and admission requirements to be offered provisional admission into the school.

  • Candidate(s) who choose the Federal College of Education (Special) Oyo as their first choice of institution during UTME and whose cut off points is 100 and above are eligible to apply.
  • Candidates who did not choose the College initially but obtained a cut-off points of 100 and above are also eligible to apply.
  • SSCE/GCE O’Level (WAEC/NECO) (NABTEB for Vocational & Technical Courses only) results or equivalent.
  • Applicants should also note that all full-time NCE courses will run for a minimum of three regular years.

      Yes, Rebecca. You must have a JAMB score to gain admission for a part time course at FCE oyo. The lectures takes place at the campus.
