The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a regional group of fifteen West African countries. Founded on 28 May 1975, with the signing of the Treaty of Lagos, its mission is to promote economic integration across the region.

The commission is recruiting to fill the following positions below:
NOTE: These positions are open to nationals of ECOWAS Member States, which Nigeria is among member states.
1.) Family Medicine Specialist
Location: Republic of Sierra Leone
Deadline: Saturday 1st April, 2023
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education:
- Fellow of the West African College of Physician (FWACP) or equivalent Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP).
Work experience and Other Skills:
- A minimum of eight (8) years relevant work experience, three of which in a supervisory role.
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Sense of initiative and anticipation
- Knowledge of volunteerism is an asset
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Being proactive and enterprising (taking initiative)
- Good computer skills Office Suite.
Language Requirements:
- Perfect command of the English language (written and oral) is mandatory.
- Knowledge of any other official language of ECOWAS (French or Portuguese) will be considered an asset / advantage
2.) Communications and Advocacy Officer
Location: Monrovia
Deadline: Saturday 1st April, 2023.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (preferably Master) in Journalism, Communications or Political Science, or its equivalent;
- Five years of relevant experience at national and international level;
- Excellent writing and communications skills;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Fully conversant with usage of computers (MS Office), email and the Internet;
- Familiarity with UNFPAs policies and procedures and good knowledge/understanding of the UN system coordination process;
- Full proficiency in spoken and written English, knowledge of an additional UN language an asset;
- Experience in working in post-crisis countries would be an asset;
- And good knowledge/understanding of the UN system coordination process
3.) National Programme Officer- Monitoring and Evaluation
Location: UNFPA Liberia Country Office
Deadline: Saturday 1st April, 2023.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Minimum of a Masters Degree in Social Sciences, preferably in Public Health, Population, Management, Demography, Economics or Public Administration.
- At least 5 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in development, including the reproductive health/ population field, preferably with gender focus.
- Recognized expertise in monitoring and evaluation;
- Practical programming and strategic planning experience
- Proficiency in current office software applications
- Must be fluent in English. Knowledge of other UN languages is an advantage.
- Familiarity with the UN and its policies and principles will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with persons of different backgrounds
- Ability to organize work effectively and to meet planned deadlines
- Knowledge of volunteerism is an asset
4.) Consultant (Comprehensive Assessment of the ECOWAS Headquarter Building for Renovation)
Location: West Africa
Deadline: Saturday 1st April, 2023.
