The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) have long concluded the UTME JAMB Examination after it completed sales of the 2023 JAMB UTME application form for candidates in Nigeria and foreign countries.

IJMB Programme In Nigeria

Have you been looking for admissions without getting one? Are you tired of staying at home on the account of failure in JAMB or post UTME exams? If your answer is YES, then gain admission into the IJMB program. This program is intended to train you for one year leading to direct entry (200 level) admissions into the Nigerian Universities and Foreign Universities.

About IJMB Programme In Nigeria and How To Apply!

IJMB is an acronym of Interim Joint Matriculation Board, It is an Accredited, Approved, Proven & Certified Advanced level programme moderated by Ahmadu Bello University and having coordinating body in various tertiary institutions and different study centers nationwide.

The programme at the initial stage was designed to provide an opportunity for candidates who cannot gain admission to regular degree programmes in Northern Nigerian Universities due to different reasons. The entry requirement into IJMB is purely Ordinary Level result (O:level) also, candidates awaiting results can also apply.

IJMB is Approved: By the Federal Government has a platform for securing admission into a higher institution in the country and abroad.

IJMB is Guaranteed: Every year, about 20,000 candidates put in for the programme in which more than 70% fraction successfully gain admission with it into 200 level to their preferred higher institution and course.

IJMB is Certified: By Nigeria University Commission (NUC) has an Advanced level examination that qualifies students into 200level through Direct Entry.

HOW IT WORKS: Prospective applicants are required to choose any THREE (3) A/L IJMB Subject Combination identified with their preferred course of study in the university be it Art, Social Science or Science course.

Candidates would then be tutored for the assigned period at their respective Study Centre and thereafter sit for the final examination. On concluding of the programme, successful candidates accordingly use their IJMB certificate to gain admission into 200level in any Nigerian tertiary institution through Direct Entry.

ELIGIBILITY: IJMB certificate is presently recognized nationwide and accepted in more than 80% of Nigeria’s private, federal and state Universities. Thus, prospective applicants can check (item 2.2) of JAMB BROCHURE to confirm its legibility

IJMB PROGRAMME DURATION: The programme spans for a maximum period of one academic session(9-10month) divided into two(2) semesters. Academic activities in all our IJMB centers starts every March and ends January. The examination is conducted every February.

PROGRAMME ELIGIBILITY: The programme is open to all interested candidates across Nigeria and abroad, and any course can be offered to be it Science, Art or Social Science.

IJMB Requirements, School Fees And Duration

DURATION OF PROGRAMME – 9 months

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION – Just your O’Level result

REGISTRATION PERIOD – Nov – March

The programme will commence fully by February. We advise our candidates to apply as soon as possible so we can forward their names with the first set we will be submitting to IJMB portal.
