Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB Spokesman, stated that “a staggering 1,595,779 candidates had registered to take the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in 708 CBT centres across 105 examination towns in Nigeria”.

You can now check your 2026 JAMB result online as JAMB has released the results of its examination conducted between Thursday, 16th April, and Saturday, 25 April, 2026. Candidates who participated in the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) 2026/2027 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) should take note that they can now check their results.

EXCLUDED RESULTS

It’s imperative to note that the results released by JAMB do not include the scores of candidates who were rescheduled to take their UTME on Saturday.

Additionally, the results of absentees, candidates under investigation, and visually impaired candidates are currently undergoing processing and are yet to be released.

The JAMB board is committed to ensuring that all results are accurately processed and released in due time.

ABOUT 2026 JAMB RESCHEDULING:

Candidates who were rescheduled must print their slips by Thursday and Friday to know their exam time and venue.
They should note that they will be grouped in a central location within their respective states, and thus must make sufficient arrangements to take their exam.
To ensure timely preparations, it is essential that they print their notification slips no later than April 15th, 2026.

Step 1: Access the JAMB result checking portal via https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/CheckUTMEResults.

Step 2: Insert your JAMB Registration Number/Email Address in the required column.

HOW CAN I CHECK 2026 JAMB UTME RESULTS Via SMS?

You can now check your 2026 JAMB result online while every Candidate should send ‘UTMERESULT’, via SMS, to ‘55019’ OR ‘66019’ using the same number that was used for registration. Please NOTE that your line must have a credit balance of at least N50. The 2026 JAMB UTME results, would be replied as an SMS shortly after.

Observe the following as the responses to expect:

• If a candidate uses a phone number that was not used to register, a message will be sent to him thus: ‘THIS PHONE NUMBER WAS NOT USED FOR REGISTRATION.”
• A candidate with a result will receive the message: “Dear Mr./Miss X, Your Result is as follows… (Then the details will be provided).
• When a candidate’s result is withheld, a “RESULT WITHHELD” message will be sent to the candidate.
• If a candidate belongs to the category being given the chance for release of the JAMB result, the message to the person will be: “RESULT WITHHELD PENDING THE UPLOAD OF CLARIFICATIONS/DOCUMENT REQUIRED FROM YOU.”
• Where a candidate was absent, he/she would get “CANDIDATE ABSENT” as feedback
• A candidate with a Registration Number that was absent and also Canceled will be informed thus: “INVALID ENTRANCE INTO THE EXAM HALL” will be sent to the candidate with unauthorized access to the examination hall.
