Auchi Polytechnic is a Federal Polytechnic popularly known as AUCHIPOLY, it is located in Auchi-Edo State. The Polytechnic was one of the first 4 Polytechnics established in the country. It was founded in 1963 as one of the first four Federal Polytechnics in South-South part of Nigeria.

One of the objectives of the Polytechnic is to adequately prepare their students for life after school, as a result of this, different entrepreneurial courses have been introduced since establishment in all the programmes offered in the institution with many more in anticipation.

The Polytechnic is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) to give certificates for courses/programmes at the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma levels.

Entry Requirements for OND Candidates

• To run a National Diploma program in Auchi polytechnic, candidates are required to possess the following:
• Five credit passes in WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O?level in one sitting or 6 credit passess at two sittings
• Credit passes in English and Mathematics in SSCE or its equivalent, this is compulsory for all applicants.
• Not less than 150 JAMB score.
• In addition, Candidates must have chosen the Polytechnic as either first or second choice and scored required cut-off marks in accordance with the chosen course of study

Entry requirements for HND Candidates

To run a Higher National Diploma program in Auchi polytechnic, candidates are required to possess the following:

• National Diploma certificate in relevance field,
• a minimum of lower credit(CGPA) of 2.50
• Five credit passes in WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O?level in one sitting or 6 credit passess at two sittings including English Language and Mathematics as compulsory and other relevance subjects
• 1year industrial training is compulsory for all HND candidates,
• You will also be considered for admission if you have a pass in ND result with 2 years industrial training attachment.
• Candidates are compulsorily required to process their transcript from the school they had their ND, especially those from other recognised institutions.
