The management of the University of Ibadan (UI) has released the JAMB and Departmental cut-off marks for the 2025/2026 academic session admission exercise. UI’s current UTME cut off mark is 200. 

The University of Ibadan is inviting candidates who chose UI as their first choice in the recently concluded UTME to apply for admission to their preferred department.

If you want to be admitted to any institution, you must have a course of study. It is best to remind you that the JAMB UTME Cut-Off mark for the 2025/2026 academic session admission exercise is pegged at 200.

Notice that the aggregate score for each Department can be calculated thus:

AGGREGATE SCORE = ( JAMB SCORE ) / 8) + (PUTME SCORE / 2 ). i.e. If your jamb score is 200 and POST UTME score is 50, then your aggregate score will be 50.

University of Ibadan UI Direct Entry:

If you want to be admitted to any institution, you must have a course of study. Therefore, if you want to enroll to study in UI with a Direct Entry process you must meet UI’s prerequisite for Direct entry admission.

What are the prerequisites for direct admission to the University of Ibadan? 
The requirements for direct entry admission to the University of Ibadan (UI) are as follows: 
  • Direct entry candidates must have at least five (5) credit grades in five subjects (including English and mathematics) in their O’level results. 
  • HND holders must have at least Upper credit in a relevant discipline.

Is UI admitting students in 2025? 
The answer is YES! 
UI is still admitting qualified UTME andDirect Entry (DE) candidates for the 2025/2026 academic session, but not candidates for the 2024/2025 academic session.
What are the University of Ibadan’s tuition and fees? 
The current University of Ibadan school fees range from N34,300 to N36,800 for old and new students in all disciplines. 
For new students, you must check the department fees on the school’s official website. 
Payment would be made through the online portal as well.
Does University of Ibadan UI accept second choice? 
No! In times of admission,  the University  of Ibadan (UI) does not accept second choice candidates.
