Launched in 2011, The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship aims to help up to eight students a year. To date, scholarships have been awarded to 68 students – from Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe, Ghana, Morocco, Togo and Côte d’Ivoire – who have gone on to attend:

The TY Danjuma Foundation is inviting applications for MBA Scholarship for African students at the top-10 leading Business Schools in the world.

The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship provides financial support to post-graduate African students who have been accepted onto MBA programmes at the top 10 leading business schools in the world only, as ranked by the Financial Times.
The Financial Times MBA Global Ranking for 2025 lists the top ten schools as:
- University of Pennsylvania: Wharton
- Columbia Business School
- IESE Business School
- Insead
- SDA Bocconi School of Management
- MIT: Sloan
- London Business School
- Escade Business School
- HEC Paris
- Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management

All successful African MBA applicants to the top ten business schools (as ranked by the Financial Times) are eligible to receive the TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship, regardless of their domicile.
Awarded candidates will receive their grant prior to the annual intake date for that business school.
However, whilst the TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship will provide additional financial support to help African student’s bridge part of the gap and relieve some of the financial burden attached to taking on MBA programmes, it will not be enough to act as the primary source of funding for these programmes.
Eligibility: Must be an African national accepted into a top 10 business school as ranked by the Financial Times.
Financial Aid: Offers supplemental funding, not full scholarships, to help bridge the gap in costs.
Participating Schools: Includes prestigious institutions like Harvard, Stanford, INSEAD, LBS, MIT Sloan, Wharton, Columbia, HEC Paris, and more.
Application: Opens around June for the next intake; requires acceptance letters, CV, and budget.

Get Accepted: First, secure admission to a qualifying MBA program at a top-ranked business school.
Monitor Announcements: Look for announcements in late May or June for application windows.
Prepare Documents: Gather your offer letter, CV, and financial details.
Apply: Follow instructions on the London Business School website or through the TY Danjuma Foundation (via links shared by partners like Opportunities for Africans).

Please note we have fully funded MBA students for 2024/25 intake. The next application process will open in June 2026 for 2025/26 intakes.
If you meet the scholarship criteria (you are an African student, who has been accepted on an MBA programme at a top 10 leading Business School, as ranked by The Financial Times MBA Global Ranking 2026 (http://rankings.ft.com/exportranking/global-mba-ranking-2026/pdf) and want to apply for the scholarship, you should send the following information to mba@tyd-fo.co.uk between 1 June and 30 June 2026:

- Nationality
- Full contact details
- Name of Business School where you have been accepted onto their MBA Programme
- Year of enrolment at the Business School
- Copy of offer letter from the Business School
- Copy of your CV
- Copy of your own budget and funding shortfall (including confirmation letters for all scholarships and loans).
- Note, the TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship is to help support by providing additional financial aid, it will not be enough to act as the primary source of funding for the MBA.
Applications received prior to 1 June 2026 will not be processed.

- Applicants must be an African descent or nationality.
- All successful African MBA applicants to the top ten Business Schools (as ranked by the Financial Times) are eligible to receive The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship regardless of domicile.
- The grant is awarded to successful candidates prior to the annual intake for that Business School. The TY Danjuma MBA Scholarship is intended to provide additional financial support to help African students bridge some of the financial burden attached to taking on MBA programmes, it will not be enough to act as the primary source of funding for these programmes.
- English Language Requirements: If English is not your first language then you will need to show that your English language skills are at a high enough level to succeed in your studies.
