Kogi State University Courses Admission Requirements
To study at Kogi State University, you must possess the following requirements:
- The candidate must be over 18 years of age in the year of admission (Some student swear an affidavit just to increase their ages)
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
- Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
- The candidate must make at least 140 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening.

Kogi State University, KSU Post-UTME Screening
Get ready for the Kogi State University Post UTME online screening! If you scored 140 or more in the UTME and selected to study at Kogi State University as your first choice, you can apply for the 2024/2025 session.
The KSU Post-UTME screening process will commence on 29th July 2024, and end on 30th August, 2024.
Candidates should ensure to upload your O’level results to JAMB CAPS.
The application costs N2,000 and can be done from home, saving you travel expenses and security concerns.
Make sure you have the right subject combinations for your course and submit your application on time.
General Information for KSU Post-UTME Screening
The Registration Period stretches through one full month. Candidates should begin the registration and upload your O’level results starting from Monday, 29th July, and continue until Friday, 30th August, 2024.
In addition, O’level result uploads will be accepted until 7th September, 2024, and the cost of the application form is ₦2000.
The screening is conducted online, eliminating the need for physical travel and associated costs and risks.
Eligible Candidates:
- This screening exercise is for candidates who have chosen or changed their course to Kogi State University as their first choice institution.
- O’level results should be promptly uploaded on JAMB CAPS, as no admission will be granted without them.
- Candidates must score at least 140 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) to qualify.
- Screening will be based on UTME scores and O’level results.
- Candidates must have taken the correct UTME subjects for their chosen courses and have five relevant O’level credits, including English and Mathematics.
- Ensure your O’level results are uploaded on the JAMB CAPS portal as this is essential for admission.
- Applicants using awaiting results should indicate this on the application and upload the results as soon as they are available.
- Any candidate found involved in admission irregularities will be disqualified.

- Visit the Kogi State University admission portal to apply via http://www.ksu.edu.ng/index.php
- Candidates can make Payment using ATM debit cards from any location.
- All entries such as WAEC/NECO/NABTEB certificates, examination number, and scratch card PINs must be accurate.
- Direct Entry Candidates must also complete the online form. A minimum of Upper Credit for Diplomas is required.
- To avoid admission Denial, ensure to review all information carefully before final submission to avoid errors.
- O’level results should be promptly uploaded on JAMB CAPS, as no admission will be granted without them.
- Candidates should regularly monitor their status on the JAMB CAPS portal for updates.
