JAMB Subject Combination For Law

WHY STUDY LAW?

Law is essential to the well being of any society. It serves as a norm of conduct for Citizens. Without Law, there will be chaos and it will be difficult for everyone to survive. In short, Life will be short, nasty and brutish.

Therefore, the importance of Law and the study of Law all but makes the society a peaceful place to live in.

Choosing a career in Law is an extraordinary path to take, but graduates of Law often find it easier to network with other Professions.

Law graduates can work in a variety of fields which come under the bar or the bench and in other Professions which include:-

  • Activist (Human Right Advocate)
  • Court Reporter
  • Judge/Magistrate
  • Legal Assistant
  • Legal Secretary
  • Company Secretary
  • Law Enforcement Officer
  • Immigration Officer
  • Diplomat
  • etc

O’LEVEL REQUIREMENTS TO LAW

To study Law, you must first acquire at least Five O’level (SSCE /NECO) Credit Passes which must include English language, Literature in English and Mathematics

There are however, variation to these requirements in some Nigerian higher institutions. In the case of some schools highlighted for you below:

  • UNN does not requires Mathematics, Fine Art or Local languages
  • UI – requires 5 O’Level Credits Passes at One sittings or Six O’level Subjects at 2 sittings to include English language, Lit-in-English, and any other subject from Arts, Social Science or Sciences.
  • UNILAG requires Five O’Level Credits Passes to include English language, Mathematics, Lit-in-English and one of Arts or Social Science subject.
  • UNIJOS- Credit Passes in Mathematics is not compulsory.
  • OAU requires Five O’Level Credit Passes to include English Language and Literature in English.
  • ABUAD requires Five O’Level Credit Passes in English language, Mathematics, Literature in English and two other subjects from Arts or Social Science at one Sitting.

JAMB Subject Combination For Law In UTME

To apply for Law in JAMB, you need the following subjects:-

  1. English Language (Compulsory For all courses)
  2. Literature in English,
  3. Economics and
  4. Any other Arts Subject.

In addition to knowing your JAMB Subject Combination for Law, there are also TOP NIGERIAN INSTITUTIONS to study this course/programme. Law can be studied under the Faculty of Law of the following Universities listed below.

          To apply for Law in JAMB, you need the following subjects:-

          English Language (Compulsory For all courses)

          Literature in English,
