1. Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic
Is?one of?the accredited Federal Polytechnics In Nigeria Located in Afikpo in Ebonyi State, the Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic was initially known as the Federal Polytechnic, Unwana ? Afikpo when it was established in 1979.
Currently, the Polytechnic admits over 5000 students annually.
2. Auchi Polytechnic
Auchi Polytechnic is another Federal Polytechnic. The institution is located in Auchi in Edo State. The Polytechnic was one of the first 4 Polytechnics that were created in the country.
One of the objectives of the Polytechnic is to adequately prepare their students for life the after school as a result; entrepreneurial courses have been introduced in all the programmes offered in the institution.
The total student enrolment is over 8000 students.
3. Federal Polytechnic Ado Ekiti, Ekiti
Established in January 1977 in Jos, the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti was moved to Akure in 1978 by the Federal Government as a way of maintaining a uniform spread of Federal Government Institutions among the states of the Federation. The Polytechnic was eventually relocated to its final abode in Ado-Ekiti in 1982.
4. Federal Polytechnic Bali
Located in Bali in Taraba State, this Federal Government Polytechnic was recently established in March 2007.
5. Federal Polytechnic, Bida
Established in 1977, the Federal Polytechnic Bida was a product of the decision of the Federal Government of Nigeria to move to the Federal College of Technology, Kano to Bida.
The Polytechnic is located on its permanent site along the Bida Doko Road.

7. Federal Polytechnic Ekowe, Bayelsa State
Federal Polytechnic, Ekowe is the premier Oil and Gas Polytechnic in Nigeria with the mission of training and developing specialized manpower in the areas of oil, gas and environmental studies.
The institution is located at the serene coastal community of Ekowe.
8. Federal Polytechnic Idah
Founded in 1979, the Federal Polytechnic, Idah was one of the seven Polytechnics that the Federal Military Government created that same year.

The Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji is one of the latest Polytechnics in the country. The Polytechnic was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2014.
The academic session took off in 2015 following the appointment of the institution first set staff and enrolment of its pioneer students.
11. Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda
Located in Kaura Namoda in Zamfara State, the Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda was established following the Decree No. 33 of 25th July, 1979 which would later be amended in 1985.
12. Federal Polytechnic Mubi
The Federal Polytechnic, Mubi was one of the seven Federal Polytechnics established by Decree No. 33 of 1979. The Polytechnic took off in August of the same year.

14. Federal Polytechnic Oko, Anambra
The origin of the Federal Polytechnic Oko can be traced to 1979 when the Anambra State Government approved the establishment of the College of Arts and Science.
In 1993, the State Polytechnic was taken over by the Federal Government after which it was renamed the Federal Polytechnic, Oko.
The Polytechnic has 3 campuses which include the Oko main campus, the Ufuma campus and the Atani campus.
15. Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure
Located in Kazaure in Jigawa State, the Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic (HAFEDPOLY) is located in Kazaure in Jigawa State.
The Polytechnic was established in December 1991.
The Polytechnic became a Federal Polytechnic in January 2007.
16. Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna
Kaduna Polytechnic was established in 1956 as Kaduna Technical Institute after the British Government approved the upgrade of Yaba Higher College (now Yaba College of Technology) to a technical institute and also proposed the establishment of technical institutes in Kaduna and Enugu.
17. National Institute of Construction Technology, Uromi
The Federal Government announced the establishment of the National Institute of Construction Technology, Uromi in 2013.
18. Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi
In 1980, the institution became a Polytechnic and was initially named, ?The Polytechnic of Sokoto State
In 2006, the Government of Kebbi State agreed to transfer the ownership of the Polytechnic to the Federal Government of Nigeria hence making the Polytechnic a Federal Tertiary Institution.
19. Yaba College of Technology, Lagos
Yaba College of Technology (YCT) was established in 1947 as the successor of the defunct Yaba Higher College. The college became autonomous in 1969 when the Decree 23 granted it the mandate to provide full time and part-time courses of instruction and training
20. Petroleum Training Institute (PTI) Effurun
Established in 1973, the Petroleum Training Institute (P.T.I.) in Effurun, Delta State was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria based on the requirement by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to train indigenous middle-level manpower in order to meet the labour force demands of the oil and gas industry in Nigeria and the West African subregion.
