 This  Federal College of Education, Pankshin was founded over thirty two years ago. The College started operations as the Federal Advanced Teachers College (FATC) in 1974 at a temporary site in Mararaba Pushit.

From a humble beginning determined to achieve Academic Excellence, the College started its activities with a set of 100 foundation students. By September 1977, the College was moved to its permanent site which is 3 kilometres to Pankshin town. Since then, the College has continued to witness steady growth and increase in students enrolment to meet the aspirations of Government in teacher training.

Without wasting much time, below are the admission requirements, cut off marks and courses as offered by the Federal College of Education Pankshin.

Federal College Of Education Pankshin Courses, School Fees & Requirements

To be offered a place in Federal College of Education, Pankshin applicants must meet all conditions or admission requirements to be offered provisional admission into the college.

  • Candidate(s) who choose the Federal College of Education, Pankshin as their first choice of institution during UTME and whose cut off points is 150 and above are eligible to apply. For degree programs, UTME applicants who score at least 180 and above are eligible.
  • Direct Entry candidates with a minimum of 8 points, in NCE final exam, are also eligible to apply for degree programs.
  • A candidate has to obtain any of WASSSC, NECO or GCE ?O? Level with at least passes in Five (5) subjects to include English Language, 3 of which have to be at credit level at the same sitting or 4 credits at 2 sittings. Two of the credits have to be relevant to the program the candidates desire to offer.
  • A Credits in Mathematics and English may be requested or needed in some courses to meet departmental criteria.
  • Candidates should also note that all full-time NCE courses will runed for a minimum of three regular years.
  • Candidates who are interested in furthering their education can enroll for any of the degree programmes offered by the institution upon completion of their NCE courses.
