1. Lagos State University (LASU)

Lagos State University is on top of our list of best state universities in Nigeria. They have undergraduate courses and postgraduate degrees. This tertiary institution is very well equipped, in case you are planning to consider LASU.

LASU was established in 1983 and has a student population of about 60,000 active students. The higher institution has a good number of notable Nigerians in all works of lives on its alumni list. Lagos State University put its cut-off marks at 180.

2. Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma (AAU)

Ambrose Ali University is currently ranked as the 2nd best state university in Nigeria. Founded in 1981, this academic institution has churned out thousands of graduates into the society. It also has one of the best facilities for learning and research.

When you speak about a school of experience, Ambrose Ali University has it. In fact, they are renowned to be one of the best universities to study Law as a course in the country. Cut off marks for AAU is 180.

3. Delta State University, DELSU

Third on the list is Delta State University, popularly known as DELSU. This higher institution has always competed with other top universities in the country offering quality education with its well conducive environment and state of art facilities.

Founded in the South-South region of the country, Delta State University was one time the first on this list of best state academic institution in Nigeria but due to mismanagement of resources and finances, it has fallen short the pecking order in terms of its educational standards. Admission cut off mark for DELSU is 180.

4. Rivers State University of Science and Technology

With a well-built Library, Rivers State University of Science and Technology is approved and accredited by the NUC and ranked fifth best state university in Nigeria. The tertiary institution is situated in Orowrukwo area of Rivers state. Candidate interested in RUST must acquire a minimum of 180 cut off mark.

5. Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU)

Fifth on the list of best state universities in Nigeria is Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU). Established in 1982, the school also provides undergraduate, postgraduate and accredited diploma courses. It possesses a population of over 70,000 students and their cut off mark is pegged at 180.

6. Anambra State University (ANSU)

This is another top state university to attend in Nigeria. With a cut-off pegged at 180 and above, Anambra State University has always been the choice of many students since its the most popular school located in southeastern Nigeria.

The various programs offered in the school campus are accredited and ANSU has the following faculties: Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, Faculty of Natural Science, Uli, Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences etc.

7. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University

Ibrahim Babangida University (IBB) is a state university in Niger State. the courses offered include Management, Religious studies, Agriculture, Economics, Psychology, Animal science, Arabic studies etc. The university recently approved the construction of its medical college and their admission cut off mark is pegged at 180.

8. Kaduna State University

The Kaduna State University KASU was founded in 2004 and at this point have Seven (7) faculties and 39 departments.

The faculties include Pharmaceutical Sciences, Social and Management Sciences, Arts, Science, Environmental Sciences and Agriculture. KASU require a minimum of 180 for its Cut-off mark.

9. Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti

Ekiti State University, also known as EKSU, this top state university offer various degree programmes that are accredited by the NUC. They also have a fast academic calendar and their cut off marks are pegged at 180.

10. Taraba State University

Founded in 2008, Taraba State University is located in Taraba State. some of the programmes offered at the University include Engineering, Agriculture,? Management, Social sciences and?Art.
