Nigeria Defense Academy popularly known as NDA is located in Kaduna, Kaduna State Nigeria, the institution was established in 1964 and regarded as the best Military school in African. the institution commenced undergraduate programmes to Military Officers in Training and presently also offers postgraduate studies for military and civilian students both at MSc and PhD level.

The military institution trains the officer corps of the Nigerian Army, Navy and Air Force with 5 years duration of study which includes 4 years of academic studies and 1 year of military training. Applicants are accepted from all regions in Nigeria.

The Military Institution had full accreditation and mandate to issue certificates for courses/programs at the National Diploma, Higher National Diploma, B.Sc., B.Eng., M.Sc. and PhD respectively

Nigeria Defense Academy Courses & Requirements

The Nigerian Defense Academy has urged candidates who applied and participated in the 2025 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, and selected NDA as their first choice to take note of the following information:

Candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 in the UTME for all courses, except engineering courses, which requires a minimum score of 210.

”NDA Screening Test is scheduled to take place nationwide on 24 May 2025.

Successful candidates from the screening test will later be invited for the Armed Forces Selection Board at the NDA, where they will undergo comprehensive medical, physical, mental evaluations and other tests.

”The final list of admitted candidates will be published in national dailies or on NDA website.

Basic Admission Requirements

• All applicants must have a minimum of 5 credit passes at O Level Certificate (WAEC, NECO, and GCE ) in not more than two sittings relevant to the faculty of their choices.
• Attestation letter from Parental/Guardian
• Certificate of State of Origin obtained from a Local Government Area or a Certificate of State Indigene from the Office of the State Governor.
• All applicants must be between 17 and 21 years of age at the time of application, for Nigerian Air force must be between 17 and 18 years old.
• applicants must have attempted JAMB with a score of 180 and above
• Height 1.68 meters(male) and 1.58 meters (female)
• Applicants must be single(not married)

• Those awaiting result will NOT be considered
• SSCE more than 5 years is not acceptable
• Female applicants will only be considered into Air Force and Navy

• click Purchase Access Code button and follow the prompt, (you can pay online using your ATM card on Remitta), or simply copy the RRR code and take that to the nearest bank for payment, the fee for this is 3,500 Naira
  you will be issued ORDER ID and RRR Code
• continue the application process.

• After obtaining the paid RRR, you are to log in to the portal and click the login button to sign up with the paid RRR.
• Then fill in your application, submit online and ensure to print out a copy which will be required during entrance exams and recruitment exercise.
