Both old and new students should always be aware of their surroundings and never leave anything behind. They should also take care of their appearance and look professional.

According to a statement from the school management, the new dress code is aimed at promoting “respect for the dignity of individuals and propriety.” It also said that the new dress code would help to improve the “image of the university.”

Thus, in pursuit of its stated commitment to the development of a responsible individual, the university is determined to continue to positively impact its students intellectually and morally.

To that end, it will only confer degrees on deserving students who have demonstrated merit not only in learning but also in character. Students are strongly advised to maintain good behavior and dress appropriately at all times.

Some people have criticized the Unilorin new dress code, saying that it is unnecessary and that it will only cause more problems. While others have welcomed it, saying that it is long overdue.

A lot of students are confused about what is allowed and what is not allowed under the new code. Worry no more, as we’ve got you covered! Below are all you need to know about Unilorin’s new dress code.

Benefits of the University of Ilorin dress code

As we all know, the University of Ilorin made changes to its dress code. This has caused controversy on campus, with some students arguing that the dress code is too restrictive. However, there are a number of benefits to the new code that deserve to be highlighted.

First and foremost, the new dress code promotes professionalism. It is designed to help students dress in a way that reflects well on the university and shows that they are taking their education seriously.

In addition, the code mandates modest clothing choices, which is important given that a university is a place of learning, not debauchery.

Lastly, the new dress code helps to create a sense of unity amongst students. When everyone dresses similarly, it sends the message that we are all part of one community.

What is prohibited under the Unilorin new dress code?

The Student Disciplinary Committee (SDC) enforces the mandates of the students’ dress code on school grounds.

Students found to be in breach of the code will face penalties imposed by the school’s administration.

As a result, new and returning UNILORIN students must learn the “dos” and “don’t” of the dress code and strictly adhere to the guidelines.
