NLNG Postgraduate Scholarships For Nigerian Students

Applications are currently ongoing for the 2023/2024 NLNG Postgraduate Scholarships For Nigerian Students.

This was established in 1998 as a critical component of our education intervention program for our host communities, and it was expanded to the rest of Nigeria in 2003.

The scheme has benefited 3,416 undergraduates from various Nigerian universities, and N768.9 million ($2.5130 million) has been invested in it. In 2012, the introduction of an online application process and the use of social media (Facebook) for information dissemination made the selection process more efficient and cost effective, while also raising awareness of the Scheme.

Each awardee will receive N150, 000 per year for the duration of their course. Starting with the 2018/2019 academic year, the scheme was expanded from 150 to 300 beneficiaries per year.

Only Nigerian students are eligible for this scholarship.

Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship is valued at between $60,000 and $69,000, depending on the course.

Host Country:

Scholarships are available in the following 5 UK Universities: University of Aberdeen, University of Cranefield, University of Leeds, University of Strathclyde, and University of Liverpool.

Are You Eligible For NLNG Postgraduate Scholarships?

Prospective beneficiaries must:

• Have a provisional admission from select UK institutions to study any of the following disciplines: Engineering, Geosciences, Environmental Sciences, Management Sciences, Information Technology, Law, Medicine
• Possess a minimum of 2nd Class Upper degree in a relevant field of study
• Have completed the NYSC programme
• Not less than a 8.0 IELTS
• Be no more than 30 years of age
• Be Nigerian nationals resident in Nigeria
• Provide identification documents from their LGAs
• Possess an international passport valid for travel at least one year from September 2023
• Be able to obtain a tier-4 visa upon being successful
• Provide evidence that they are available to travel in September 2023 if selected
• Not be a direct relative of staff of Nigeria LNG Limited

6. All applications MUST include scanned and uploaded copies of the following documents:
7. Recent passport photograph not later than 3 months (without glasses)
8. International Passport Bio-data page
9. First degree certificate
10. NYSC Discharge certificate
11. Provisional admission letter from any of the international UK universities mentioned under “Host Country” above
12. IELTS results
13. Local Government Area Letter of Identification
14. Employer consent letter (where applicable)

Worthy of Note:

• Ensure you provide valid contact details as will be used to communicate you on the application status
• Applicants should possess at least basic computer skills as the selection method will be online Proctored Computer  Based Test
• Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the online Proctored Computer Based  Selection Test
• Applicants are advised to regularly check their mailbox for information on the status of their application

An application may be disqualified for:

• Falsifies documents
• Incomplete attachments
• Non-adherence to advertised criteria
