Niger Delta University is in Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State in the southern part of Nigeria. It is a Bayelsa state government-funded university. In 2002, It was established by Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha, then governor of Bayelsa state.
The Niger Delta University popularly known as NDU, was established in 2000. It currently two main campuses, one in the state capital, Yenagoa, which contains the law faculty, and the other in Amassoma. Niger Delta University Admission Requirements
To study at Niger Delta University, you must possess the following requirements:
- The candidate must be over 16 years of age in the year of admission (Some student swear an affidavit just to increase their ages)
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
- Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
- The candidate must make at least 180 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening.

What is the cut off mark for NDU?
To be eligible to write NDU post UTME screening exercise, candidates must have scored a mark not less than 150 in the recently conducted JAMB UTME. The cut-off mark for all the under-listed degree courses at NDU is 150.

Applicants must accumulate a certain CS required by the faculty in order to be admitted to the major of choice. Accordingly, remedial courses are allocated, if need be.
