Niger Delta University is in Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State in the southern part of Nigeria. It is a Bayelsa state government-funded university. In 2002, It was established by Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha, then governor of Bayelsa state.

The Niger Delta University popularly known as NDU, was established in 2000. It currently two main campuses, one in the state capital, Yenagoa, which contains the law faculty, and the other in Amassoma. Niger Delta University has come a long way since its establishment and ranks among the 50 best universities in Nigeria.

The University offers a wide range of programmes from the full-time certificate, diploma and degree programmes cutting across Twelve (12) Faculties. Niger Delta University Cut-off Marks 2026/2027

Niger Delta University (NDU) has announced its general cut-off mark for all applicants.

All candidates are expected to score 150 and above in JAMB. This mark applies to most courses, but some departments may have higher requirements based on competition and demand.

These departments include Law, Medicine, Law, and Engineering among others. If you are applying for any of these courses, then you should aim higher than 150.

You need to meet the cut-off mark because without meeting the score, you may not be able to purchase the Niger Delta University Post-UTME Form. As you may already be aware, the cut-off mark is just the tip of the iceberg, there are other requirements you need to meet if you want to study at NDU through the UTME mode of entry. Niger Delta University Admission Requirements

This is a list of requirements you need to meet to study at NDU:-

  •  Applicants must meet the minimum age requirement set by NDU.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) credits in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics. Results must be obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • All candidates applying to NDU must participate in the UTME conducted by JAMB and meet the 150 cut-off mark or higher depending on the course.
  • Direct Entry (DE) candidates must provide ND, HND, or Advanced Level certificates such as IJMB, GCE A-Level, or Cambridge results.

Niger Delta University Admission Requirements

To study at Niger Delta University, you must possess the following requirements:

  • The candidate must be over 16 years of age in the year of admission (Some student swear an affidavit just to increase their ages)
  • Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
  • Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
  • The candidate must make at least 150 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening.

What is the cut off mark for NDU?

To be eligible to write NDU post UTME screening exercise, candidates must have scored a mark not less than 150 in the recently conducted JAMB UTME. The cut-off mark for all the under-listed degree courses at NDU is 150.

 

Niger Delta University NDU Post UTME Subject Combination

This is to inform all the candidates that chose Niger Delta university as their choice should apply for the Niger Delta University (NDU) post-UTME screening exercise.

Applications will open 17 July 2026. The form costs ₦2,000 and is available online. But don’t wait too long. Deadline is friday 21st August 2026.

 

How to Apply for NDU Screening

Follow these steps to apply correctly:

  1. Go to the NDU screening portal
  2. Type in your JAMB Registration Number and UTME score
  3. Provide a working phone number and email address
  4. Pay the ₦2,000 screening fee using the online payment platform
  5. Fill in your O’level results and grades carefully
  6. Review your entries. Fix any errors before you submit
  7. After submission, print out a copy of your completed form

For Direct Entry Applicants

If you applied to NDU through Direct Entry:

  • Go to the same screening portal
  • Upload your required documents no later than 22nd August 2026

Screening Schedule:
The screening exercise will hold from Monday, 24th to Friday, 28th August 2026. Registered applicants should watch the university site for further updates on their specific dates.

Management Science (all programmes) Economics, Business Education, Educational Management
Subject: Government, Economics, Mathematics and English

Engineering (All Programmes), Technical Education, Architecture, Building and Quantity surveying

How can I get admission in NDU?
School grades (first and second secondary years) are assigned a weight of 55% and SAT Math or NDU Aptitude Test is assigned a weight of 45%. Applicants must accumulate a certain CS required by the faculty in order to be admitted to the major of choice. Accordingly, remedial courses are allocated, if need be.

The current school fees of the Niger Delta University Yenagoa ranges from ₦100,000 to ₦200,000 for both old and new students. For new students, you will have to check the fees by the department on the official website of the school.
