This is the examination taken by candidates in their last stage of Secondary School Education. The SSCE is in two categories; one is for candidates in the third and final year of their Senior Secondary Education and it is called SSCE Internal while the second is SSCE External and is for candidates that are not in the school system, i.e. private

The National Examination Council (NECO) recently released information on the 2025 NECO Examination Date and time. The NECO SSCE internal has seventy-six subjects. Intending Candidates who want to know when the sale of registration will commence should know that the date of sale of forms has opened, and will close Tuesday 18th November, 2025.

Schools will be authorized as usual to register candidates for the NECO 2025/2026 exams. However, note that most schools have already collected registration fee and waiting for the commencement of the online registration.

How Much Is NECO 2025/2026 Online Registration Forms Sold?

Though NECO GCE Forms comes up as Scratch cards, National Examination Council forms are sold for N30,000. If you register late (19–25 November), you’ll pay ₦5,000 extra. Walk-in registration is ₦43,000.

Requirements For NECO 2025/2026 Registration

Failure to do so will make you cause difficult problems which sometimes may cost you much more money, time and effort to correct. Then while registering provide all the necessary information that you will be asked to provide

• Obtain the NECO form,
• Then provide all the 9 subjects you wish to sit for,
• Upload your Passport photograph,
• Get your finger print scanned.

Remember that while impersonation is a crime, you must fill in accurate information. Any fee or money paid to obtain your form is not refundable.

How Do I Register For NECO 2025/2026?

After you have obtained your form for NECO 2025/2026, Schools or Candidates should go online and;

1. Visit https://www.neco.gov.ng/
2. Accurately capture your fingers,
3. Upload the recommended candidate passport photograph
4. Fill in every required information
5. At the end of the your registration, Print Out your Registration Details.

SCHOOLS AND CANDIDATES SHOULD NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

1. WHERE THE TIME ON THE QUESTION PAPER DIFFERS FROM THE TIME ON THIS TIMETABLE, THE TIME ON THE QUESTION PAPER SHOULD BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO.
2. FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND AUTO MECHANICS PRACTICAL PAPER I; FRENCH, MUSIC AND ARABIC PAPER IV, THE SPECIFIC VENUES FOR THE EXAMINATION SHOULD BE CONFIRMED FROM NECO STATE OFFICES.
3. PRACTICAL IN SCIENCES, STENOGRAPHY, COMPUTER STUDIES AND DATA PROCESSING CAN BE IN SETS WHERE THE NUMBER OF CANDIDATES UMAR ABBA IS LARGE AND THE EQUIPMENT CANNOT GO ROUND.
4. VISUAL ARTS PAPER IV [CREATIVE DESIGN] SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
5. WELDING & FABRICATION, ENGINEERING CRAFT PRACTICE SHOULD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST THREE WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
6. NIGERIAN LANGUAGES (HAUSA, IGBO, YORUBA, EDO, EFIK AND IBIBIO) INCLUDE LITERATURE ASPECT.
7. ALBINOS AND BLIND CANDIDATES ARE TO BE ALLOWED 30 EXTRA MINUTES AT THE END OF EACH SUBJECT.
8. BLIND CANDIDATES MUST MAKE USE OF THE NECO SUPPLIED OBR CUSTOMISED BRAILLE SHEET FOR THE EXAMINATION.
9. DYEING AND BLEACHING 1B, PHOTOGRAPH 1B, PAINTING AND DECORATION 1B, PRINTING CRAFT PRACTICE 1B, LEATHER GOODS MANUFACTURING AND REPAIR 1B, SHOUD BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES AT LEAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE EXAMINATION DATE.
10. USE OF SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR IS ALLOWED.
11. BRINGING INTO THE EXAMINATION HALL ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION GADGETS (PROGRAMMABLE CALCULATORS, MOBILE PHONES, IPADS, TABLETS, DIRECTOR EXAMINATION ADMINISTRATION SMART WRIST WATCHES/GLASSESS/PENS ETC) IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
12. CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT SIT FOR PRACTICAL (PAPER 1) WILL NOT HAVE RESULT IN THE SUBJECT.
