It is worth recalling that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has abolished the use of Jamb’s universal cut-off mark in all Federal, State, and Private Universities in Nigeria.

This means that the school will have to set its own admissions cut-off marks. As a result of this move, some federal universities have raised their admissions cut-off marks.

Some Federal Universities in Nigeria has increased their JAMB cut-off mark 2025/2026 for admission and prospective students can now check their JAMB cut-off score. JAMB have set the general cut-off mark for universities to 160.

However some federal universities place their Cut off mark at 200. Some state universities is still place their cut off mark to 160, while private universities is 150. However, JAMB set Cut off mark for polytechnics, colleges at 120.
