Kaduna State University is located in the City of Kaduna, Kaduna State, Nigeria. It was established in 2004. It currently has Seven faculties with over 39 departments.
The Kaduna campus took off first, running basic degree programmes. Dr Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the then Governor of Kaduna State, appointed Professor Idris Abdulkadir to be the pro-chancellor and chairman of the Governing Council while Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo was appointed the first vice-chancellor.
The school library contains over 17,000 volumes of books. It has two campuses: Kafanchan and Kaduna. The Kaduna campus is essentially the main campus where majority of the faculties and departments are situated.

Kaduna State University Admission Requirements
To study at Kaduna State University, you must possess the following requirements:
- Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in relevant subjects which must include English Language and mathematics at GCE O’Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents at not more than 2 sittings.
- Candidates with Teachers Grade II (TC II) with passes at credit or merit levels in conjunction with credit passes in relevant subjects at GCE, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents may be considered. No subject may be counted at both TC II and GCE O/Level, WASCE, SSCE, NECO or approved equivalents.
- The candidate must make at least 180 pass mark in JAMB to qualify for internal screening by the Kaduna State University.

Kaduna State University Post-UTME 2025
Kaduna State University (KASU) invites candidates who applied for admission through the UTME and Direct Entry to register for the POST-UTME online screening exercise.
The registration exercise will commence on Friday, July 18, 2025, and end on July 31, 2025.

Post-UTME REGISTRATION GUIDELINES
- SELECT APPLICATION TYPE
Visit the application portal at https://applicant.safapply.com/kasu of Kaduna State University from your computer or mobile phone and click the appropriate application type (Post UTME or DE) on the left side of the program list.
- CREATE ACCOUNT
- Enter your JAMB registration number to check your eligibility status in the space labeled JAMB Registration Number and click the Check Eligibility button.
- If you are eligible, click the More Information Button.
- From the pop-up display, click the Apply Now Button
- Click the Create New Account Button if applying for the first time, otherwise click Log in to Your Account.
- PAYMENT
Verify and validate the information you have provided and proceed to make payment.
Eligible candidates are to pay the sum of N2,000 (excluding bank charges) through the payment options provided on the application portal.
- BIODATA AND UPLOADS
- Fill in all required personal information accurately.
- Provide details of your O-level result in NOT more than two (2) sittings if available.
- In addition to the above, DE applicants are expected to provide details of A-level results.
- Upload all copies of the above results and preferably the certificates if available. All other credentials are to be uploaded (NIN slip/National ID card, Birth certificate, indigenization certificate and updated 2025 JAMB registration slip and updated 2025 JAMB result slip). Incorrect or misplaced uploads will invalidate your application.
- Upload signature and passport photograph (clear, recent, in color, with a white background, JPEG format and file size not exceeding 1.00MB). Invalid or missing passport photo will invalidate your application.
- Where applicable, indicate alternative preferred programs in order of priority, in case your first choice is unavailable.
- APPLICATION SUBMISSION
- Select the agree option to accept that all information provided are valid and that any false information provided renders your application invalid.
- Preview your application.
- Click the submit button.

- All applicants who did not meet the minimum aggregate score for their chosen course are required to change to a course for which they meet the requirements before they can be eligible for application.
- All eligible candidates MUST upload their O’Level results on JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) before consideration for Admission.
