Are you having issues with your NYSC online registration as a Prospective Corp Member (PCM)? Or you made some errors in the registration process relating to Date of Birth, Sex, Names, State of Origin, Wrong Passport, Course of study etc?
It has come to our notice that some PCMs have been experiencing issues regarding correcting their mistakes made when filling in the data during the registration.
Mistakes are inevitable but we have got the solution here. Please follow the steps below to correct your Registration errors.
Steps To Correct Mistakes Made During NYSC Online Registration
Follow the steps below to correct your errors:-
How to Correct Date of Birth
According to NYSC, henceforth, information from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is now being used to effect changes on the NYSC portal. The new procedure is as follows:
- Login to your dashboard and click on the link to Date of Birth
- Enter WAEC Verification PIN, select WAEC Type, Year of exam and enter your Examination Number
- Click on Verify button
- Click SUBMIT or CANCEL
How to Correct Course of Study
The Following are the Procedures for Correction Of Course Of Study On The NYSC Platform.
- Login to your dashboard and click on the link for Correction of Course of Study;
- Select Course of Study; and
- Click SUBMIT
How to Change Wrong Passports
According to NYSC, PCMs who have mistakenly uploaded wrong passport photographs during Online Registration are to send their Call-up Numbers and Names to NYSC official Facebook message box, www.facebook.com/officialnysc, also scan a written application for dropping of passport photograph and send to [email protected], so that it can be dropped, and you will be enabled to re-upload.
PCMs with wrong thumbprint and passport photographs can also contact NYSC States Secretariat before the commencement of the Orientation Exercise.
How to Correct Names
You are to login to your dashboard and request for correction of spelling mistakes and rearrangement of your names.
However, those who need addition or removal of names will have to go back to their institutions of graduation, who will in turn formally communicate such request to the NYSC.
Note that Addition or Removal of names will not be attended to until your Institution follow the laydown procedure.
This is necessary to ensure that your Certificate of National Service does not bear a wrongly spelled name.
How to Correct Sex or State of Origin
According to NYSC, you can lodge a complaint or apply for correction at the ICT unit when you get to the NYSC orientation camp.

Gud Evening admin, i have applied for DOB Correction since July 7th, no response from NYSC till now, and people are going to camp by next, and d date of birth in my waec is below 30 and my dashboard is still showing Exemption, pls 🙏🙏 I need help
Hi Faith, do not panic on the matter. JAMB usually use your JAMB information for Mobilisation. So long as you have a your WAEC, JAMB document, and Print-Out copy of the Online Status, you can report to School Authority for a correction. If correction is done late, you will go for the next batch.

Hi Faith, the only thing to do now is to complete the Registration and accept the Exemption Letter. NYSC tabulates Candidates’ data from the information they filled for JAMB registration.

Please am having an issue, I need help please, the cafe where I went to do my registration, the guy made a mistake and uploaded another person passport instead of my own, now the passport has refuse to change, though the form has not been submitted and I have not done my thumb print, it also showing the person thumb print, I don’t know what to do.

I please am having an Issue regarding my nysc registration. Yesterday when I went to register for nysc, the cafe man made a mistake, he did not close the previous person registration after he was done with it, before putting my email, now am trying to register is showing the person passport on my form page, also when I check the thumb print it shows that have done thumb print whereas have not done any thumb print, so I couldn’t complete d form and submit.
The person passport and thumb print is showing in my form, and I have not done my own thumb print, please I don’t know what to do if I should continue the registration because I have not submitted the registration.

The date of birth on your JAMB is what NYSC will use. See if that’s the same on your admission letter to know if your age is beyond eligibility.

It will create confusion about your identity in the future. Visit the high court near you with a passport-size photograph to swear an affidavit. Then present your indigene certificate asking NYSC to correct it on their record.

You will not have a problem in camp. But in future, your identity may be confused with all the other documents you have.
I did change of WAEC DOB for a week now I’m still yet to see changes on my dashboard after receiving an email from NYSC it’s still showing exemption processing…
Go to the WAEC office with a copy of original birth certificate and a copy of court affidavit that corrects the DOB on your WAEC.
Visit the WAEC office to correct it.
