The Federal College of Education Zaria, formerly known as the Advanced Teachers College Zaria was founded in 1970, to provide the needed training and staffing to educational institutions of Northern Nigeria.
The town of Zaria situated at a latitude of 11.07 and 12 degrees North and longitude 07.44 and 8 degrees East. Positioned at a distance of about 962 Km from the Atlantic Ocean, it is about 80 kilometers North of Kaduna, the capital of Kaduna State.
The college is commonly referred to FCEZARIA among college students and currently among the best college of education in Nigeria.
Federal College Of Education Zaria Courses, Cut Off mark & Admission Requirements
Applicants seeking to gain admission into this college of education must, however, meet all criteria and admission requirements to be offered provisional admission into the school.
- Candidate(s) who choose the Federal College of Education Zaria as their first choice of institution during UTME and whose cut off points is 120 and above are eligible to apply.
- Candidates who did not choose the College initially but obtained cut-off points of 120 and above are also eligible to apply.
- SSCE/GCE O’Level (WAEC/NECO) (NABTEB for Vocational & Technical Courses only) results or equivalent.
- Applicants should also note that all full-time NCE courses will run for a minimum of three regular years.
- Candidates who are interested in furthering their education can enroll for any of the degree programmes offered by the institution upon completion of NCE courses.

You will gain admission to FCE Zaria if you meet the subject combination and requirement through JAMB.
However, If you wish to enroll in FCE Zaria through DE, you must also meet any requirements for DE.

Does it mean one cannot ve admitted to Degree Programme course without NCE certificate? Just as SSCE holder who has sat for UTME can’t be admitted into degree programme?

SSCE holder with an admissive score who sits and pass the Post UTME will be offered admission.
The requirements for Full time Programme on this post is the same as that for Part time programme.
