Ahmadu Bello University ABU Post UTME / DE Screening Exercise 2024/2025

All 2024/2025 candidates who applied for admission into Ahmadu Bello University,  Zaria for the 2024/2025 academic session and selected the Institution as their first choice should register online for the ABU Post UTME screening exercise from 19th August to 30th September, 2024.

Each year, ABU Post UTME screening for all courses have always been conducted at the Samaru campus and the venue will be Faculty of social sciences.

Sometimes, Ahmadu Bello University  Management do make special arrangements for Post UTME candidates from Southern part of the country to sit for the screening exam at a designated private venue somewhere in Lagos state. And offcourse, i think these arrangements will be communicated to the affected candidates at the appropriate time.

In addition, the minimum JAMB cut off marks for Ahmadu Bello University is still 180.

So, all candidates applying for admission into ABU Zaria are expected to have JAMB UTME score of 180 and above depending on the course he/she choose.

Eligible Direct Entry candidates who meet should pay the required screening fees and register.

How To Register For ABU Post UTME Screening Form

• Visit www.portal.abu.edu.ng/forms or click on 2024/2025 Post UTME registration on the Ahmadu Bello University website via https://www.abu.edu.ng
• Then enter all required details in the space provided.

Note: All applicants will be required to pay a sum of Two Thousand Naira only (N2,000.00) for the screening exercise.

The banks will demand from each applicant an administrative charges of N200.00 for the registration.

Procedure For ABU Post UTME Online Registration For UTME Screening

1. First of all to make the payment, candidates are advised to visit the Ahmadu Bello University PUTME registration portal www.portal.abu.edu.ng/forms and generate a Transaction payment slip. Print the slip and proceed to any of the designated banks below for payment.

1. Candidates are to use their Jamb Registration Number as their username and respective states of origin as password for logging in.

2. After making payment in any of the prescribed banks, candidates are to come back here www.portal.abu.edu.ng/forms to finish their registration and schedule for the screening test.

3. A printout of candidates schedule slip with the passport photograph and a printout of the UTME result MUST be submitted on the day of the screening. Candidates MUST keep Photocopies of all submissions for their own records.

4. Candidates MUST arrive at the screening venue at least One Hour before their scheduled screening time, to ensure proper briefing and accreditation.

Please note that

• GSM phones are not allowed during the ABU Post UTME screening exercise.
• Only JAMB calculator will be allowed into the venue.

Parents, Guardians and uninvited law enforcement agencies will not be allowed into the venue during the screening exercise.

Any candidates who fails to appear for the screening exercise on the date indicated on his/her Schedule would not be considered for admission into the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

 

ABU Post UTME Confirmation of Subject Combination

Candidates are advised to check their subjects Combination via abu.edu.ng or putme.abu.edu.ng to ensure their subjects Combination are correct.

Candidates with incorrect subjects Combination may change to an appropriate programme (course) on the JAMB portal.

Schedule of 2024/2025 ABU Post UTME Screening For Candidates

Wednesday 25th September, 2024 at Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Management Sciences.

Thursday 26th September, 2024 at Faculties of: Administration,  Agriculture,  Arts, Education,  Life Sciences,  Pharmaceutical Sciences,  Physical sciences,  Veterinary Medicine.

Friday 27th September, 2024 at Faculties of Engineering, and  faculty of Environmental Design.

Saturday 28th September, 2024 at Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and faculty of Law.

Monday 30th September, 2024 at Faculties of: Basic Medical Sciences,  Basic Clinical Sciences,  Clinical Sciences,  Dentistry.

NOTICE TO CANDIDATES:

1. Candidates can undergo the screening exercise in any of the following venues:

• Iya Abubakar Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IAIICT)
• Distance Learning Centre (DLC)
• Computer Based Tests (CBT) Centre

1. Candidates are advised to come along with their original JAMB and Post UTME Screening Print out copy.

2. Any UTME / DE candidate who fails to register for the screening exercise will not be eligible for admission into the university.

3. DE candidates are to note that they are only expected to register and upload their results for the screening exercise.

 

Follow The Steps Below To Register For ABU Post UTME

• Type in your JAMB number and select your state of origin on the login page and click on login.
• A Transaction ID will be generated for you, print out the slip and go to any of the designated banks listed above and make payment.
• Login after payment to complete your registration and schedule for the screening test.
• Provide your personal records if missing and click update.
• You must provide a valid GSM number and email address.
• Upload your true passport size photograph in JPG format (not more than 100KB) and O’Level results (where available).
• Choose awaiting result where applicable. Ensure that your photograph is uploaded.
• Click on the save button.
• You will be redirected to the Portal where you will be scheduled for the screening.
• Print 2 copies of the scheduling slip and bring along during the screening exercise.
