In your quest to study at Wigwe University we would like to provide you all the Information you need to know from Wigwe University Cut Off Mark, Faculty and Departmental Courses, Admission Requirements & School Fees.

Wigwe University was founded by the late Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe, as the Institution  of set to launch operational activities by August 2024.

The university is situated in Isiokpo in the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State and will offer a diverse range of programmes across four major colleges, which includes;

  1. College of Management and Social Sciences,
  2. College of Art,
  3. College of Science and Computing,
  4. College of Engineering.

The pioneer Vice-Chancellor of the Private University is Prof. Miles Davis from the United States. Davis holds a Doctorate in Human and Organisational Sciences from The George Washington University, USA.

The institution has a blend of home-based and foreign faculty members with the goal to instill a sense of purpose, foster creativity, and inspire a new generation of well-rounded fearless leaders who will make a significant impact on the world.”

Cut Off Mark

The University Matriculation Examination, administered by Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board Exam, JAMB, which is the nationally recognised university entry examination into Nigerian Universities, and complements the mandatory O Level and A Level result requirements from high school has pegged Cut Off Mark for Nigerian Universities to 160 JAMB Score.

Prospective students who wish to study at the prestigious Wigwe University and has Wigwe University as their choice Institution should at least score 160 as JAMB Score to be eligibile for admission.

Also prospective students outside Nigeria are requested to notify Wigwe University via this email contact@wigweuniversity.edu.ng, of their intention to apply, and joining instructions on how and where they can sit for the examination abroad which will be forwarded to them.

At Wigwe University, candidates have two distinct pathways for admission into our degree programs. These includes:

  • Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
  • Direct Entry.

The admission options are consistent with the Core Curriculum and Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS).

UTME Entry

Prospective students can enter the programs through the UTME pathway, fulfilling the following criteria:

  • Attain an appropriate UTME score.
  • Possess five Senior School Certificate (SSC) credit passes, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, and other relevant Science subjects, achieved in not more than two sittings.

Direct Entry (3-Year Degree Programme):

Candidates opting for the Direct Entry pathway must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Attain a minimum of a credit at the University/National Diploma or NCE.
  • Possess five Senior School Certificate (SSC) credit passes in relevant science subjects, with three of these credits in English Language, Mathematics, and Physics.

  • BEng Electrical Engineering

  • B.Eng in Computer Engineering (Robotics)

  • Direct Entry candidates must possess credit level passes in five relevant subjects at the Senior
  • School Certificate (SSC), including English Language, two of which must be at the advanced level. Holders of NCE, University/National Diploma (ND) at minimum of credit level are eligible for consideration for Direct Entry admission into 200 Level.
  • In addition, candidates must meet the required qualifications at Ordinary Level.

Note: The Luxury single bedroom apartment is the only accommodation plan that comes with a monthly charge of N1,000,000. All the other plans are yearly (per session). Choose a plan that best suits your childs needs and preferences.
