This great institution had its establishment in 1977, the Federal Polytechnic, Bida was a product of the decision of the Federal Government of Nigeria to move to the Federal College of Technology, Kano to Bida. Entry Qualifications/Requirements For HND Candidates
The minimum entry requirements for Higher National Diploma Programmes for specified field are as follows:-
- Possession National Diploma (ND) in the relevant programme with minimum of Lower Credit in the field of interest and (5) Relevant Credits at SSCE, NTC, GCE, WAEC, NECO, NBC or NABTEB level.
- A minimum of one (1) year Post National Diploma (ND) cognate working experience (Industrial Training).
- All Graduands (Except that of Federal Polytechnic, Bida) are to send Transcripts of their National Diploma under confidential covers to the Registrar, Federal Polytechnic, Bida to ease consideration of their admission requests.
- Graduands of the Federal Polytechnic, Bida must present original statement of result at the point of screening.
NATIONAL DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
Federal Polytechnic, Bida Courses for OND Programmes
The Polytechnic runs Two (2) year full National Diploma (ND) in all the above listed programmes including Nutrition & Dietetics and Science Laboratory Technology.
Interested applicants should apply through JAMB and sit for UTME in the relevant subjects. Only candidates who meet the JAMB cut-off mark shall be considered for admission.
Entry Requirements for ND Programme
The minimum entry requirements for National Diploma Programmes for specified field are as follows:-
- Five credit passes in WASC/SSCE/NECO/NABTEB/GCE O level in one sitting or 6 credit pass at two sittings
- Credit passes in English and Mathematics in SSCE or its equivalent, this is compulsory for all applicants.
- Not less than 150 JAMB score.
- In addition, Candidates must have chosen the Polytechnic as either first or second choice and scored required cut-off marks in accordance with the chosen course of study.

This is to inform all candidates who have applied for admission into The Federal Federal Polytechnic Bida for 2026/2027 academic session that the Post UTME Online Screening has commenced.
UTME Candidates MUST have scored NOT LESS than the indicated minimum scores for various Courses/Programmes in the 2026 UTME!

Federal Polytechnic Bida 2026/2027 Post UTME Requirements & Eligibility
- Candidate must have obtained a minimum cut-off mark.
- Candidate must have select the Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State either as his/her the First, Second or Third choice.
- Candidates must possess minimum of five credits passes at not more than two sittings in their SSCE, NTE, NECO, WAEC, GCE, NBC or NABTEB in addition to the pre-requisite combination of subjects for the desired programme of study.
- Those with Awaiting Results can also apply.
- Candidates must register for the Post UTME Screening Exercise.
How to Apply for Federal Polytechnic Bida Post UTME Form
To apply, candidates are required to purchase the Post-UTME screening form online. This can be done by logging onto the Federal Polytechnic Bida’s official website and navigating to the designated page: https://eportal.fedpolybida.edu.ng/putme/register.php.
The screening form is obtainable at a non-refundable fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00). It is advised that prospective students follow the instructions provided on the application portal carefully to ensure successful registration

Candidates must possess the following Required Documents for Online Registration:
- Copies of Official Examination Results (including Originals).
